Some how this doesnt add up to the mileage. The car looks great...but the engine compartment looks rather worn.

I could be wrong....but it is nice. After all its black;)

Given the bolster blow-out, I'd be very suspicious. Unless it was driven by a very fat person who smooshed it every time getting in and out. Engine bay looks like a lot of miles too. Of course there are people who just plain don't take care of their car and don't drive it either, but thats just as bad if not worse than a high mileage car. Certainly don't bid on it unless you can check it out in person for yourself.

Well the car is almost 25 years old. Maybe it sat outside for a while. If the car lived in Brooklyn - 36,000 city miles is comparable to 100,000+ highway for sure. Brooklyn is way congested....

Looks like a nice project.

So many dings and dents everywhere, sucks

This car has been posted on ebay before, with less pics though. I wonder what reserve is.

Look at the rust on the spare wheel. I'm almost afraid to see what's under it...

What's up with the round thing on the grill next to the passenger fog - a badge or reflector of some sort?

that's the worst looking 36k mile supra i've ever seen... except for when it was posted here several months ago on a different auction.

That thing is rough. But,being a city car,and the condition of "some" of it,very possible.

That engine looks a hell of a lot worse than my ran-to-shit 220k one. And mine's no garage queen. It's been driven hard, left in the back of the house for three years without moving, and recently commissioned as my daily driver. I live in LA so my freeway mileage is pretty much city mileage. Poor thing. : (

I think it is, just looks like it has spent most of it's driven in a tight city, bumped into by other cars bikes etc. and left outside for the hatch gasket to shrink in the sun and start rust the hatch.

This has been on ebay before. did you catch the results Greg?

I've seen this car b4 on eBay rather recently and it still looks bad.

Yeah... Ive seen this car a few times on auction. Never draws the bids though. Something like this requires a physical inspect for piece of mind.

Personally I think its a nice resto piece. True it looks jacked, but all easy fixes IMO. If the motor and underside are solid.... respray it, add a few trim pieces, and you got a great collector car.

Im done with project Supras, so I havta pass.

Does anyone remember this car from eBay almost 8 years ago ?

It was a black 82P from Jersey with 22,570 original miles.

Is this the same car ?

I grabbed some pics at the very bottom of my site:

That would be horrible if it were the same car. Purchased for big bucks, then driven around NYC and bashed into and roughed up, that would seriously suck :duh:

E-Bay Item 150069619266

What seriously sucks is buying a really nice Jensen Interceptor and then rolling it on the LA expressway... Off topic I know but geez...

I actually met guy and it's possible it is car from Jersey, when talking he mentioned to me about his black 82 and he did get it from Jersey, Also had the pleasure of seeing the car in person, I think mileage is legit I just think it took a beating in NYC although he doesn't park car on street, he has own private driveway, I have his number somewhere, he's sellin a body kit and told me to think about it. I don't know how he does it but he's gotten his hands on and sold at least two other MK II Supras in last year, both 85 p types. One red with immaculate interior and the other burgundy/brownish with dead cylinder.
