1985 ptype super silver shell

i have a rust free 85 super silver shell with no engine or tranny, and an AVR. i was doing a 7m project, and ive decided there are more imprortant things i need to take care of right now more than a car.
the only bad rust on the car is at the top of the windsheild trim and i will post plenty of pics of it. as for the price goes im accepting all offers and im not expecting on getting a whole lot out of it.

i also have a 7mgte with the 85 front sump pan im considering on keeping the turbo and manifold, but if someone really wants it then ill consider throwing them in. i have the manual ecu and harness with it also. the motor was rebuild as far as i know of. it has a metal HG unknown MM myself and a couple people checked out the crank and rods by looking while the oil pan was off and they said it was rebuilt. the motor came out of a wrecked 87 mk3 and the person who crashed it said they had to turn the car off after the crash. the engine was still running so i assume its still fine. im selling the motor as is.
im keeping the w58 and stuff to convert my 82 l to a 5spd. so other than that thats most of the info for now. just shoot me some offers and we can talk about it. i prefer local poeple, but if you realllllly want a specefic part thats not a pain in the ass to ship then i might consider shipping.
i dont want to do this but like i said i have more important shit to deal with right now and i already have a running mk2 so im happy with what i have.

I'm more interested in the motor, mainly because I can bring this across the border with no hassles. He has lost or never received the title which makes it impossible for me to take the shell into Canada.

Car is IIRC an auction car = AVR/BOS no title issued until he applies.Since he didn't do it within a specific time,a late fine will ensue if HE applies for title.If sold to a 3rd party,with a DMV B.O.S. said party should not have to pay the fine,if transfered within 15 days of date on B.O.S.
Yeah,the Canadian guys are probably screwed,not able to cross the border with the car.

Neither US or Canada Customs will let a car across the border without the title papers, unless it is a wreck. In which case the car can never be insured as it is the classified as for parts only. B.O.S. won't cut it with Customs, which is a good thing. As our cars get harder to find, I think we will start to see some of them disappearing in the middle of the night.

If i am using this car just as a parts car will i have any problems with it. I have a non rusted 85 silver supra that i need a few parts on and it would be nice to have a somewhat replica spare car.

Austin,as a parts car,remove what you need,and the AVR is enough to scrap the car without issue.I forget what the letters stand for A******** Vehicle Release.Basicaly,any tow yard auction uses these,wrecking yards sell on a B.O.S.
AVR = same as buying from a dealer,if transfered within alotted time,no emissions test required until next due date.
B.0.S. with supporting paper "AVR,Lost Tilte Cert.,etc." from a private party,will usualy mean you need to have seller fill out a special form,but,only if you want to re-title the car.If just scrapping,B.O.S. isn't even needed then.
B.O.S. from a wrecking yard,ins.salvage,etc. requires a WSP inspection before tabs/title issued.

Definately come up to the meet,all you Vancouver guys should get together and make the trip,even if only in 1 car.

I will be there most likely, i will bring my friend who just recently hooked because of my car and picked up the 90,000 mile 83? super red car that was on craigs-list a couple weeks ago, we are still deciding if we are taking one or both our cars.

Ive seen the car and I know the passenger fender is dead, but the drivers one was ok. He never got back to me either... at the moment I just want some interior peices out of it for my celica... door panels and so on. I know where he lives though... haha
