I don't think a missing hatch sticker means anything. When my Dad bought his '82 (new), he took the sticker off. The '82-'83 sticker is a little cheesy, IMO.

The only thing I find fishy about the TC car is the quality of pictures. They look like they were taken 5 years ago. I hate low quality pics...they can hide so much.

Well, I guess we won't be hearing any more whining about how there are no minty Supras left for sale on the East Coast. :p

Note how it says "Always Garaged" but you can clearly see there is another car occupying the one-car garage. And the second one is "gunmetal grey" so thus we have another color-blind owner.

Alot of ppl call my car grey
If ayone is serious abt the TC car... ask the owner if it came from NJ within the past 5 years. I went to go see an immac low mileage TC in Hackensack NJ roughly round that time. It was extremely nice... for Terra Cotta :eek4dance:

My theory is that in the northeast, there are a lot of people with money who could afford to put their sports cars up for the winter. In the midwest and pacific northwest, not so much so they more likely rusted out. Here in the south, we drive our sports cars year-round so they all just wore out.

Yea, no shitzky. When I have the money, I've been looking for a decent 84 to early 86 in my region, and no luck, But then again I am a bit picky on the color and must be a P type. Right now the spare cash is tapped out, so with my luck I will stumble onto a nice example and have to pass. of course, if it was a killer deal I could get a loan now and deal with the wife's reaction later.
Don't think thats going to happen though.

The only real rust issue we have is the hatch. If it was maintained and garaged, even that isn't that bad.But ya,we dodn't seem to see too many really low miles cars up here.I have seen a fe nicer auto's with <110k miles,a black 85 I triede to get even with 84k on it.Dumb chick traded it in ..... ata used car lot none the less .....sold for close to 5k and disapeared :(

The hatch rust is pretty universal as is the sunroof. I think the key is "money". Where did people buy sports cars new just as summertime toys? Those are the ones that tended to be preserved. Probably a few more lucky supras were "retired" from the daily commute after 60-100K, but those tend to need some level of restoration.
