i plan to run coil on plug with my megasquirt on my 7gte using 2 edis6 modules. i already have these ford coils. they are on newr ford v8's. like 98 + fords. 4.6l crown vics and 5.4l vans suv's and trucks and the v10 models as well. i need at least 6 of the connectors with as much pigtail as possible, prefereably 8 so i will have spares. i got 8 coils afterall. so if you can get them for me please lmk and lmk how much. thanks. hers a pic of the coils they are for for reference.

are they smart coils? if so, what are you going to do about bypassing the controller?

no. they will run off th edis module, jut a + and - on them. though im using 2 modules as each module only has 3 coil drivers. itll still be wasted spark though. you wire them both up eto the same vr sensor, and both receive the signal from the ecu, but only one of them is actually hooked up to send the signal to the ecu. so 1 wire is left un conected. i figured it all out at work and drew the diagram up on a pad. its in my desk. ill post the exact cylinder to edis pin tomarow.

OK, part number for those coils is 3W7Z-12029-AA. They have a retail price of $92.58 each. If you're gonna use old ones I would suggest at least changing the boots. Part number for a boot is F7TZ-12A402-AA, they retail for $12.13 each. The connector is part number 3U2Z-14S411-SMA, or Motorcraft part number WPT-579. They retail for $22.53 each.

I used to be a Ford Mechanic and I have a bunch of wire connectors for coils and injectors can you show a pic of the connection port of the coil and I will check to see if I have any. Are they only a 2 wire coil? Looking at that coil did it come off a 4.6 and/or a 5.4 I think I do have those if you want I can mail you them. Still need to see the plug end side to make sure I get the right ones. If you want them that is

yeah, they are a 2 wire connector. ill take a pic of the plug today. and flying brick, why would i pay $12.13 each from ford for the boots? i can get better aftermarket ones for far less. also, the boots i have on them now are in perfect shape so will prolly just use these for the time being. also, i got all 8 coils including shipping for less then the cost of 1 new one at ford. and iirc the accel replacements from summit are less then $30 each so i may upgrade later if needed.

Dude, I never said you had to do a damn thing. You asked for some help with part numbers. I provided you with about as much information as you could ever want including part numbers of the coils, boots, wiring, and prices of each so that you would know if somebody was trying to rip you off or not. I guess I should have just kept my mouth shut.

Sorry, you asked for the connectors themself, and not the part numbers and prices. I guess I'm a douche bag.
