I've never seen an '86 hardtop. Every '86 P-Type that I've seen was loaded. I wonder if someone put that aftermarket in because of some problem with the factory unit. (?)

thanks guys and gals! yeah im pretty happy too ... but.... the motor is on its way out, and the windscrrn has some rust , but all in i paid a bit much but .... whatever right. this thing will be minty in no time and now i can have a stock 85 and a 1 or 2 jz black beast. i figure thats priceless. all in i paid 3k cdn for it but it came with all the documentation from the first owner . first document starts in feb. 85 and it was produced in jan 85. so i am the 3rd owner now. the original owner sold it in 2002 so the second owner only had it for 5 years.

nice find!!! 1 question, does it really have 281,691 miles??? if so thats the cleanest supra ive seen with over 200k.......

off topic, i just sold my 85 supra which had 101k, almost no rust, great paint and interior, and awesome alarm and sound system for $2800...... does anyone else think i couldve got a lot more, or is it just me????

It is absolute sex!! Haha....nice find and 280k+ kms and she is in awesome shape. The center armrest is damn near mint too!! All in all...a steal for$3000 CDN!!

I would definitely haul the front windshield and get that rust fixed asap!! It's probably leaking through...mine was and was nowhere near that bad. Passenger top corner was bad for me.

Rear quarters are hard to judge,but if you can start to see it, it's probably much worse. Check it out. Haul the interior panels off the inside quarters and check for holes. Take the flares off and assess the situation.

So does that glass piece actually slide back on those tracks above the roof? If so that's pretty slick, but I wonder how it seals effectively when closed if it's 'above' the roofline.

And TMJay, it's definitely not a factory sunroof :P

it may look a bit Ghey, but it is what belongs there. ill probably put a smaller mkIV one on the black supra later on though.

I kinda like not having the big Supra decal on the back of my car...it was painted over with a rattlecan when I first got the car. I just had it removed for the repaint. Without it, it makes people look at the car more to figure out what it is.
