I'm looking forward to seeing the movie. Glad to hear that it's a good show. The previews and trailers are hilarious.

I guess I was hoping for more than just a 1.5hr Simpsons episode,... but I was kinda dissapointed.
Dont get me wrong, there are TONS of great jokes/gags/unexpected scenes... (hedges anyone? lolz ;) ) but it just didnt feel like the epic they were making it out to be.
It just felt, well... very sunday evening like... kinda like an episode. But funnier ;)

It was good, funny but it did seem like just a longer episode...not very epic at all. if it had been longer than 80min (thats with previews) maybe I would have felt different...but 14 bux for 80 min..thats one short movie.

From the Simpsons FAQ on Usenet:
"4.1 How long does it take to produce an episode?
Typically, an episode takes about nine months to complete. The writers
go on a retreat in December, and finish up 12 scripts in time for the
September premiere."
So thats.... 18 maybe 19 months? I'm sure it was longer than that. This is for a what, maybe 70 minute movie. I guess you have to have family in the animation business to appriciate it..

Wasn't very epic? Homer only saves the whole goddamned town and his marriage, how much more epic do you want? If you thought 300 or Transformers were good movies then this is not for you, if you enjoy the show go see it.

I like 300 and Transformers, but the Simpsons was pretty good.
That or I'm biased from being a lifelong fan.

I'll be seeing it on cheap night, tuesday, but honestly, all I expect is a hour and a half episode, that I haven't seen yet!

William and I went to see the movie last night. I thought it was not only hilarious but also very well done. The 2D animation combined with the longest list of credits that I've ever seen in my life was proof enough for me that a lot of time, effort and money was put into the making of the movie.
