Prolly did. Kinda makes me feel all warm and squishy inside knowing my firebird started as an 84' SE. I dont know what to call it now though. I wish they had kept the spun aluminum dash facade from the 70's. I do think its odd they keep calling that one a TransAm. Sure looks like a formula to me. But what do I know. There are prolly T/A's out there that look like that. I also know that if its a T/A, it isnt called a Firebird. You will find NO Firebird badging on it what so ever....kinda like Karmann. All old VW Beatle convertibles are modified by Karmann. If you find one, you will find no VW badges. If you do, someone else put them there. Thats why you see Karmann Ghia's in stead of VW Ghia's.
