Crappy Day

I went to my brother in laws funeral today. It sucked because he was 23. He was killed last tuesday while driving down a road on a suzuki 600 between 120 and 130 m.p.h. He had been riding motorcycles very long. He came into a curve and went into a high speed wobble. It looks like he bailed off of the bike the bike went around the telephone pole but my brother in law slid on the pavement and hit the pole so hard that his helmet came off. Medical examiner stated that all but 2 bones in his body were broken. Bike had some scrape marks but runs and no real issues.

I am sad because he was a good kid and this was such a needless waste. Last night when I was working I assisted the Sheriff's office with a 3 car crash where a 19 year old female rearended a car in front of her. She had been drinking and was driving home.

To many of our children are dying on the road these days.

Ya know, sometimes natural selection still finds a way to show its face in our ever so strictly regulated society. I feel your loss, bro...but it was his choice to pull back that handle. Morn him, but remember that you are still alive and able to tell his story. Perhaps it will fall on ears that might actually be listening and change a life.
