Yup, one of those funny ebay bars. It's in great shape, I only ran it on my old red '85 Automatic for about 5-8k miles before the head gasket gave up the ghost. No rust or anything shady like that, just a good bar. Now, I don't know if it was an "early style" bar or what not but it was about a 1/4 on an inch from the firewall and would not totally bolt up with out a spacer or some long screws and washers. I only ran it for a short time and never got a chance to space it out and bolt it up to the fire wall but even without the triangulated part bolted up it still made a big difference over stock. I'm MKII less at the moment as I sold my black '85 so I have no need for the bar. I also have no job at the moment, so the liquidation begins.
I'm looking to get $80 for it and at this point would great prefur a local pick up as finding a box for this mad mutha looks to be quite the bitch, but if somebody really wants it and nobody local wants to come and grab it by next week I'll ship it. I'm up in the north SF bay area and frequent the east bay Martinez/Concord area.
Oh, and Id also trade for some '67-'69 Barracuda trim or interior parts (my latest project) but I figure it a shot in the dark.
Thanks, Frank

Yup!!!
I didnt have in on that sdr P-type of mine for all then long when the headgasket went bye bye.
I dont have a pic of it mounted, and I can't get one cause I'm MKII-less at the moment. but I do have a crappy one of it on my balcony...

And that scuff mark is just some dirtyness from my old crappy hood insulation.

hahahahha, same POS that i have as well, good luck on the sell. when i got mine a long time ago the bars that go to the fire wall did not reach all the way. so i cut them off. so it just goes from one strut tower to the other.
good luck man

Yup, they're like a 1/4 inch from the firewall but I bet some cheap plastic spacers could be made for cheap and would work great. I just ran the bar without them going all the way to the firewall and it was fine. With the same amount of work to get cut them off you should be able to make them work.
Oh, and thanks for the positive words to boost my sale...

I don't see anything wrong with the bar. It gets the job done well. It just lacks the craftsmanship of the LJM bar, which i also have. Mine as well was short from the firewall by about 1/4". I just cut sections of 1/4" flat stock, drilled holes to match and problem solved. Here is a pic of mine mounted on one of my cars to give others an idea of what it looks like. With motor mounts that are a bit soft and let the motor rock around a bit, my intake pleneum touches slightly and so did the RC intake... hope it helps the sale!
