Ok so I need to put my 84 ptype on some jackstands for an extended period of time (long time) and I was wondering where the best locations would be. I'll be using 4 jack stands. I searched but didn't find anything and I'm more familiar with trucks with a solid frame which then it doesn't matter where you jack it. Thanks in advance I know this might be a stupid question but I dont feel like screwing up the car.

Sorry, but I wouldn't be putting jack stands anywhere near my rocker pannels. Rusties are a b*tch.

I always use the frame rails that are 12' inside the rockers for the front.

As for the rear ... anywhere on the sub frame is fine. BUt, NOT on the bottom of the arms themselves.

yah there are parts front and rear on those inner frame rails where the metal overlaps and is quite thick - thats where i put the stands
