Other than a aftermarket copy of the badge (like what SupraSport sells) the real Toyota version is not the actual badge itself. It's also part of the left side grille piece (at least on the 89 - 92's),

Also, the real Toyota version is a JDM only part. The US MKIII's got the "Toyota" badge in it's place.

<--- Has seen the real 3.0 Turbo badges on 2 different 89T's.

Was the MA70 available in Japan? Thought it was only JZA70's?

?!?!?!?!?!???????

JDM MKIII timeline:

MA70: 1st available in Feb 86, to ~end of Aug 89. No more JDM MA70's after that. One of these days I need to look up the production timetable for the Group A race cars, will have to poke around in 1 of my other books to find this, unless someone on the SupraForums or Supramania knows this.

GA70: 1st available in Feb 86 - the end of the 91 model year.

JZA70: 1st available in Aug 90 - end of the 91 model year.

No JDM MKIII's were built for the 92 model year. Obviously they were still available outside of Japan for 92 (North America for example, which only had the MA70's).

Hey Professor - would you have pictures of that badging? Might be starting up a thread for badging of most requested parts.

No pictures unfortunately. I just looked at 1 other possible website that might have a picture, but I don't see anything. Other than the 2 examples I know of, I don't know of anyone else who has them.

If I get really desperate, I can try & take a picture of 1 of the JDM MKIII's that are in my HyperRev magazines that has this badge.

Well I was hoping I could just buy it from toyota, but since its the whole grille insert, that wont work. Ended up just getting the badge from suprasport.com

Well I just got my 3.0 Turbo badge from surpasport.com. Think I paid $40.00 once shipping was tacked on. Outrageous b/c it is a Toyota part, and it is still available from toyota for only $24.00. Makes me mad that I overpaid for this. For anyone else wanting it, the part number is: 75321-14780.

No I did not. From some of the responses I got on here I thought that suprasport was my only choice. Oh well, at least anyone else who may want this part knows that they can get them from Toyota directly.

I have bought numurous parts from www.1sttoyotaparts.com in the past year. I highly reccomend them. They are always a little bit cheaper than champion toyota and easier to communicate with.
