Trying to figure out what previous owner was trying to do...

I'm trying to figure out what the previous owner was trying to do.

They took out that 2nd vacuum thing and spliced in that other unit.

I'm guessing they were trying to modify the egr system somehow, I just don't know how.

When I was at pick a part I recorded a mental snap shot of how the lines are supposed to be from the Supra I got the vacuum unit from and mine aren't matching up. Both units get a line from another line with a double t-split-off-connector, then one of the return lines goes into the firewall and I forget where the other one goes to.


Does anyone know what that foreign unit is or what was trying to be accomplished here?

they must of had i idle prob. and made there own switched vac system pull it all and start with a diagram.
