Driveshaft transmission yoke spline count?

Just curious:
Most resources on the web say that Toyota trucks of the 70's and 80's all had 21-tooth splines on the yokes on the driveshafts. Also looks like Toy cars have had 20, 21, 22, and 23 spline counts.

I measured the spline count on my W58 driveshaft, and it is 21-tooth, 1.5" in diameter.
Anyone know if what I have heard of Toyota trucks is true?

Also, anyone have an A43x or A340x automatic handy to measure the spline count/diameter on them?

The point of all of this is I am looking at a couple of truck shafts for my car, and before I waste too much time on them, I want to know which transmissions to stay away from. It *sounds* like the L-series, G-series, W-series, and A-series auto's have the same spline count.
