Shawn is now a cs.com sponsor! He is famous for killer GTE swaps, bad ass LTypes, GTE harnesses, rare wheels with perfect offsets and occasionally being grumpy ;) This guy has forgotten more about cars than most of us will ever learn...so I bet we will be seeing some exciting products in the near future.

Thanks guys.
I'll be posting a bit about some of the plans here, sometime during the weekend. I'm in the middle of getting a couple cars ready for the local meet this weekend, and the all generation meet next weekend. ;) Reality is, I shouldn't be on the computer right now, LOL.

George, Phil, always willing to work together. :D Trust me, I have no intention of stepping on toes.
This isn't a full time gig, don't plan on making it one really. I just have some ideas, that this will make me finish, LOL. Plus, I still have a few connections here and there, figured I'd see about putting those, and a bit of knowledge together, pay for my time, and hopefully, help the community a bit more.

Hi Shawn! It was cool to finally come to a meet. I did go to one a long time ago, where Don arranged dyno testing in Kirkland. How's things with you? I'm looking for a working front Wiper Motor for a 1985 MKII.

WOW!!! Congrats sir! I'm really happy to hear this although I wish you had made this decision a few years ago when I was struggling to muster the 7m swap (not that I have done now but...:duh:).
Oh well better late than never.

Yannis, I always thought the larger percentage of members knew I did the sub/connecting harness' for the swap. I've mentioned it, and it's been mentioned by others quite often. I never felt "right" just blatantly advertising it. Now, I'm paying for the "right" to do so :D Just took a nudge from a few fellow members.
I have more on the drawing tables, but, working a somewhat normal day job, and keeping up with the projects here in the shop, leaves only a little time for new stuff right now.
Thanks again ALL.

Of course I knew Shawn that's why you were the first person I talked to about my conversion back then. You provided lots of info and pics to me back then but I guess your old age doesn't serve your memory all that well :facesjump!!!
All I'm saying is that the way you seem to approach this now looks like you'd be able to dedicate more time on certain one-off applications than you had back then.

Ok Shawn, Since you are doing all this alone, Can I be your Co-partner? :):):)
Hell, Down in this Area, Its like Pulling teeth to get people to Buy and Purchase 7MGTE swapped MKIIs not to mention all the other things that Ive been doing. Good thing is that within the Next 2 Years, I can hang this hat up for good and put on another one. Retirement sounds so good sometimes until I go crazy not working on something.

05-12-2008, 04:23 PM
how much are you selling the swapped mk2's?
SupraGuy31
05-12-2008, 04:34 PM
Oh, It Depends on the condition of the MKII and nature of the 7M motor when I get them. Last one I sold was roughly in the $4,000 range but the body wasnt in near the condition as the one that they have right now.
