Web hosting company was nice enough to raise our bandwidth limit again....
The bandwidth limit has been raised. There is no additional charge. Merry Christmas,
and a Happy New Year ; )

if there needs to be contributions, do let us know... if our bandwidth is constantly being used up, id be willing to toss a few bucks into the hat to help out.

I would think that since bandwidth is a measure of traffic, essentially the transfer of 1's & 0's, that the fewer sent, the better. Each time you visit a page, all that info must be sent, and the biggest data pigs are all those images that peeps and post ho's paste all over the place.
Ergo, fewer pig pics, less 1' & 0's per visit, and less bandwidth wasted.....
Just a thought

Ken,
Images linked to from servers outside www.celicasupra.com don't actually have any adverse effects on "our" bandwidth since the images are being pulled, thus using someone else's bandwidth. The only image files that are allowed for uploading & posting on CS.com forum are avatars --and they have a 17k limit.
I configured the forum that way on purpose.

yea man all these new post hos running around Karaki, Puppystar, Suprafiend and Uncle Eng   its no wonder why it went down

Sometimes a little research would be prudent before making ridiculous suggestions. I wouldn't have commented, but is that not an avatar you are using?

i wasnt going to say anything about comments made, but i also dont agree with the way they were made, after rsdeo and i just offered to chip in with contributions, an offer which has been made by myself and many others more than a few times.
i believe i understand why malloy hasnt taken us up on the offer, as IIRC it would push him into a "profitable business" designation, unless i totally misunderstood the explanation that was offered previously.

Apologies for the derogatory tone of the post. I stand corrected on the issue of bandwidth use.
There are still people using old computers, and dial-up connection, for whom large collections of images, whether hosted at CS.com or linked, can be an issue. There are posters who comment on a topic multiple times, with the same images replicated mant times on a page. People who have invested the time & effort in their supras have a right to be proud, but perhaps smaller thumbnails, with links to hiquality images may be more appropriate.
Avatar gone, saving 17kb

Wouldn't it help if people used the "back" button on the browser instead of clicking on the quick jump links towards the top of the page to back out of a section? If I understand internet enough, that should use the cached info instead of resending the page.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
