Ran the car pretty hard last night. It started to idle really really rough. I pulled the plugs this morning, and cylinder #2 was full of fuel.. not a little bit of fuel but a LOT of fuel. I believe that it is getting spark. So all I can think of is that the injector is jammed open,, and just dumping fuel in at full blast. I put a compression tester on motor and got even compression over all cylinders... I am planning on pulling the fuel rail and replacing the injectors, does any one have any suggestions or Ideas of what could be going on? Thanks.

The fact that only no. 2 cylinder was full of fuel leads me to think that you are correct with your diagnosis. I would definitely remove the injectors and replace the whole set. You will want to do an oil and filter change at the same time to remove any fuel that leaked past the piston rings and mixed with the oil.

Thanks Dave. I am waiting on a set of 250s to swap into the car. So I will do the work then. I will also do an oil change at the same time.. I am almost at 5k anyways. Thanks for the tip on the oil change. I just got the car back to my house a few minutes ago. Had the old man towed it behind the pathfinder while I sat on the brakes and steered. Double check the #2 plug by leaving it connected and sitting on the intake manifold and cranking. I definately had spark, but not as strong as it is, when its between the distributor cap and plug wire. Should I replace the wire just in case or no point? Or just do the injectors and if its still idling bad, then go for the wires? Thanks.

I would just do the injectors and the oil & filter change for now. Are your spark plug wires stock wires or aftermarket?

NGK plug wires are good quality so you should be OK to go with those.

Did you compare with the others? Also if the dizzy or wherever the plug was grounded, was greasy or painted it could cause that.

I will check it against another plug when I work on it next. Thanks for pointing out the obvious.. :P Once in a while I kinda overlook basics....
