can I use a alternator from a 7M on my 5MGE?

You might have to change the pulley on it but yes it has been done before...

Also depends on what year of Supra/Cressy.

82 and 83 models have a different voltage regulator and require a diode to be bridged somewhere, if I recall correctly. It should be contained in the write-up.

Yes, you can use a 7M alternator on your 5MGE. You will need a different alternator belt if you keep the 7M alternator pulley though. (The 5M pulley is 2 ribs wider I believe)

cant you swap the pulleys from the 5m alternator to the 7m alternator...i coulda swore i read somewhere that therre the same size.

Had an alternator guy say that I could use a Saturn 105 amp alternator, anyone ever try this one?
