Wow. first post in forever..
So one of my supra's that im soon to be working on, has no key and is in park. I want to move it but dont want to buy a key and cyl just yet..
So is there a way to get it out of park so i can roll it out of the way just for temporary?
Thanks for any info

Crawl underneath it, unbolt the shift linkage from the shifter and then grab the lever on the side of the trans and shift it by hand. You will want to have the park brake on and might need someone to rock the car or roll it a inch or so to get it out of park.

And, in the newer cars you need the brake pedal depressed. That always weirds me out when I drive my moms rig. "Why won't it come out of park??? oh right, brake..."

yes, push button, car move from park.
You will need to put a key in to deactivate the steering lock... unless you like tearing apart steering columns ;)

If you are just pushing it around your driveway or a garage put a good jack under the front cross member and have some1 push it and pull/steer with the jack handle. Make shure u are on the crossmember good, dont wana slide off and fuck up the oil pan or somthing. I always like to hook one of the nubs of the cup of the jack into a hole in the crossmember.

there are also wheel dolleys that the front or rear wheels can sit in that allow the car to be moved when the car... doesn't want to be moved?

Like when someone asks what grade of fuel they need to put in there stock car if they plan on driving fast to make more power
You just want to laugh but you answer anyways

A "rocker pick" works ok,too.Any tow truck guy has 'em. I have a set for GM,Ford,Chrysler, imports, etc. I use 'em at work when customers forget to leave their keys, keys locked in the trunk, auto door locks, etc.
