my 85 supra....it has this one weird wiper blade connector on there and i was wondering where you guys got your wiper blade adapters...because wiper blades these days are the ones where you just hook it on and it snaps on easily...i'm guessing you guys know what i'm talking about....because when i bought my wiper blade for the passenger side...it came with an adapter which is a hook and two replacement screws....driver side has two screws but it looks kinda like a square....any help where i can find adapters for em'

you dont. you order a new blade from mark @ vancouver toyota. When you need to replace said blade, you order a refill which is cheaper than ANY aftermarket blade or refill kit.

Okay...... Once again...
WHAT ADAPTERS??????????
The 84 - 86 driver side wiper blade attaches to the wiper arm ONLY ONE WAY.... See the below link:

Be glad you don't have a 82/83, in which the wiper blade has a PERMANENT attachment to the wiper arm.
If your aftermarket wiper blade is attached to the wiper arm via "some sort of oddball adapter", you're SOL. Basically, this indicates that someone did some modifying/fabricating. About your only option, is to buy a new OE Toyota setup.

just an fyi, if you order a wiper blade from Mark @ vancouver toyota, this is the price:
driver wiper blade $11.02 ea
if you buy it from toyota directly it'll cost more. The plus side of getting the true toyota blade is that the refills are $4 a piece. :)

people have modified them. i did. mine were rusty so i switched to aftermarket wiper. pretty simple actually. just buy any wiper that you like in the factory size, i think its 16" or 17". theres a rivet holding the wiper to the bracket, drill that out. the wiper comes out. theres also a little tab underneath that you have to grind flat. then just use a screw and a lock nut to secure the wiper to the bracket.
also, fyi....pylon wipers from walmart look identical to the factory ones. they are even changeable blades.

I think you need the Trico 43-180 refill for the driver's side. It has the rubber in the metal holder that slides into the wiper arm / blade. It is 18" long and it will fit the original blade pretty easily. Here is a 43-180 mounted in the stock wiper blade. Too bad the metal blade holder is silver and not black.
Picture taken with flash at night. Looks much better in real life.

:duh::duh:
At this point, a "visual aid" is going to help try & get across what you are trying to explain.... Even I'm having trouble trying to picture this..... Like I said before, I'm betting someone modded/fabricated something........
So..........

I'd either go to a pick and pull or put out a request on the board for a wiper arm. Bshapton or Supradad (or some of the other guys who have lots of parts laying around) might be able to sell you a used assembly. Or, you can check to see if Toyota still sells the blade. I think they do for the 84-86.

I don't think Toyota sells the small part you need. You have to buy the whole assembly that has the part number. Wiper arms are pretty plentiful in the junkyards and not too expensive. Get a good one, paint it black, buy an insert and you are good to go.
