Well without more/better pictures, it isn't a decision that can be made right from that add. Obviously when you look at the car in person look the car over real good for areas of rust. The price isn't listed, but i wouldn't pay over 800 bucks for a car in that shape.

Just be smart about it when you check the car out, and you should be fine. It is nice that the motor doesn't concern you, it will probably make the whole experience a little easier. Aand it's a supra. Of course it's a good idea (if you aren't getting ripped off).

My dad is a life long body man. He and any other guy in the trade will tell you to find a rust free car.... as rust always comes back.

That is why I really really love the SDR car I got from Phil. NO RUST ANYWHERE!

Although I whole-heartedly agree with Mike, for $750 you can not expect rust free. For that price and in your area, I would still consider getting it although the rear quarters, rockers, sunroof, probably behind the trim will be rust. Now if you have at least $2-3G to spend on a car and you are thinking of buying that car for $750 and spending the rest fixing the rust, that's when you need to pass and head to the SW. Remember gas and/or transport will cost you when buying farther from home so you've gotta figure that into the cost of the car.

patience young one...if you are really in the market for a rust free supra don't jump on the first one you see...

If you want a rust free shell just keep looking and like Malloy said:

check everything over while your there, so you don't end up replacing a bunch of stuff...

take a flashlight and a mirror, and a few tools...

I am wondering where the other spoiler is at since he claims that it has a double spoiler and I see only one. Sounds like he has no idea what he is really talking about and is try to "talk up" the car. I would be very worried about rust then, even watch for areas that the paint looks a little different and tap your fist around the car to check for bondo, if the owner does not let you do that..walk away.

Need to work on your priorities boy ;) Seriously though, what's wrong with an auto? I love both my 5spd and auto. Equally! I got my 100% rust free SDR for 800$ needed a motor, but the fact that it's rust free, I doubt I will ever get rid of it.

Probably going to find a lot better condition auto cars than manual, for numerous reasons. If you're dead set on having a 5 speed, it really is NOT that hard to switch over, and the auto is plenty of fun in the meantime. You might even kick yourself after the swap when you see your gas mileage go down a little :sarcasm:

20-25 city in the auto, 28 highway. and less than 20 in the five speed no matter what, definitely not a good trade off. I still like the auto more as a DD.
