I've often wondered the same question but i think it can be done, maybe, idk. But i just dont think that it would be worth it becuase of the exstensive modification that would be involved. Not to mention the major cost! i checked out several SC cars before and im going to intsall a kenne belle mammoth SC kit on my bosses '03 GT Stang next month. i've tried thinking of a way it could work but i just cant fathom a design bc of the way the intake is setup on our cars, a centrifugal Sc would be possible but not roots style if thats what you mean.:twodrunkg

short answer...no.
too much custom work for no more performance than turbo

There isn't much custom work to be done. I've been tossing this idea back and forth a little bit. One advantage to a supercharger is you don't have to change the exhuast piping. And easiest way I've thought of doing it is deleting the air chamber and replacing that with a roots style blower. All that intake stuff is useless when you start boosting anyways. And the only supercharged celisupra I've seen is an out of country Mk2 with a 5M-ZE.

There are TONS of off the shelf parts to support Supercharging Domestic Iron. There are ZERO off the shelf parts to support Supercharging 5/6/7ms. Crank Pulley, Blower Manifold, Standalone Computer, it adds up REAL DAMN FAST-Sure its easy to supercharge a 7M-Give me a blank check and a month. :naughty:

Know who owns the one with purple couplings on the 5M-GE? I have questions for them.

compound boost = awesome.

tiny pull to build 8lbs of boost at say, 1200rpm...electric club to disable it when boost kicks on on a larger turbo at say 4000rpm. yeah....would be sweet.

I've seen 2 with an eaton m90.

If you have $3000 to throw away, send it over here and I'll send you back a 5M S/C Kit :)

I still plan on making my 6MGZE, gonna start in the spring. I finally have more money than time, but we'll see just how much time. But seriously, for $3k, I'd love to send that to you and get a SC kit.

My plan will be to follow the write-up that "supercharger" here on the forums did, as well as Hemiyoda's, but instead of the 5ME to start with, I'm doing a 6MGE to start with. Hemiyoda's 5MZE does a 0-100kph (0-62mph) in 6.5s I believe, so a 6MGZE with an Eaton M90 like I plan on using should do a low 5s 0-60mph.

I'm always a fan of unique. I'll be doing another 'unique' supra starting in the summer if all goes well.

A well documented S/C 6M would be welcome for sure.

There is a local one here but it has yet to run that I know of. The whole car is for sale. Uses a porsche boxter S/C.

whole thing for sale? Any other info (like a sale thread or something)?

And I plan on thoroughly documenting the 6MGZE from start to finish. Hopefully I'll be fully unemployed by then (that's a good thing) and I'll have a bunch of time to put into it as well.
