View Full Version : Disable factory alarm

how can i do this...It will occasionally go off when using my keyless entry to unlock my doors. Doesnt do it all the time...just sometimes. I need to disable the factory alarm until i can wire in the wire from the keyless entry system that will provent this.

need help soon cause i am doing this at school.

just unplug the the alarm horn. It's the one by the windshield washer resovoir.

you can pull the dome light fuse or cut the yellow/white wire and yellow/blue going to the theft comp. there is also a ground you can cut or just unplug the computer

where is the theft computer....i cant get on the TSRM computers block it.

drivers rear 1/4 panel below window
I have to look again the one I last said is the speed control. same size and shape this box is black not brown

either pull the little vent like thing when you open the door, big black one, or pull the interior piece from that side...

don't unplug the alarm horn, the alarm will still go off, just silently and kill your battery. unplug the computer.

yup got the computer unplugged.

One of these weekends i will get around to wireing in the wire for the alarm. But since the alarm doesnt work properly im not too worried.

I tried to get my aftermarket shit to cooperate with stock alarm for a long time. just unpluged it later anyways. unplugging the horn would be tacky.........lights flashing untill you put key in ignition.......Not cool.
computer easier.

my car has the light thing going on.
the last owner must have disable the horn.
the alarm never worked 'till i put my new engine in.
now the light go off every time i un lock it
its silly
was there a remote to kill it be for you put the key in factory
they did not have remote alarms in 85 did they
i was poor and 4 in 85 i dont remeber lol

there are microswitches in the door locks, that corrode after time and don't work. tripping those "key in, and turn to unlock" would disable the alarm. tear apart the door and do a quick solder job and they will work again.
