Does anyone out here in the San Fernando Valley have any recommendations on a non-dealer repair shop that's knowledgeable and trustworthy with a MKII or other vintage Toyotas? I don't have any urgent need, but I'd like to know who to go to if I don't have the time or ambition to do it myself.

What are you trying to get done?

Well, for example, my '83 Celica GTS needs the power steering rack and pinion unit and the tie rod ends replaced. Yeah, I could certainly do it myself, but lying on my back under a car getting dripped on just isn't as much fun as it used to be when I was a younger man.

And the '84 Supra that I just bought could use an oil change, filters, etc. I'd rather take it to a shop that specializes in Toyotas and knows Supras. A Toyota dealer is a possibility, but there's got to be a shop with a reputation for vintage Supra work, with all of the thousands of repair shops that are around here.

I'm talking about routine repair work, not performance/racing.
