What is the hub diameter / center bore diameter of the Sportmax 501's... I can't find it ANYwhere at all. Want to figure out if I need hub-centric rings or not...

I didnt use use, I probably should. I can measure it for you but I dont have a measuring caliper. It wont be very accurate. Ii was thinking about making a sticker for the center cap. It is exactly 2" So I would say the center hole is about 2 1/4" . I cant measure it right now because my car is at the exhaust shop.
PS, you do know the offset is not 0 on this one right? You are going to do that spacer sport max to the test? GOOD FOR YOU!

Normally, all center bore on all 'universel' wheels are 73mm.....All xxr that came in my warehouse were 73mm. when you order the rims, also get the hubcentric ring 73mm to 60.1mm
I think the offset is 10mm on those.... the one on denver's car are 0 and look better imo. And denver, get hubcentric asap... pretty sure your car has some vibration at 50-60mph... and your wheels studs shouldn't support the weight of the car.

Probably at least 66.1 to fit Nissans.

i have the sportmax 002,16x8's, and you need hubcentric rings. i think they are like 60.1. let me see if i can search and find that original thread.

this was the post about the sportmax 002's. i believe since its a 4 lug universal type rim, you may still need it.

this was the thread about the spacer/hub measurement needed to be flush in the rear with the 002's. i am going to try and look for hubcentric spacers with studs later on....:

You'll deffinatly have some vibration from 50-60mph without the hubcentric rings btw. I certainly notice it, just havent gotten around to getting any yet. Although acording to the tire shop where I got the tires mounted, it isn't actually putting undue stress on anything, but then again they said hubcentric rings weren't made in the correct size for my car either...

is it better to get the metal ones, or are there any problems with rust/corrosion? the plastic would solve that but are they strong enough? plastic just doesn't sound like a safe thing to me, like they could crack apart with stress.

I'm on the fence right now. I just found a pair of ULTRA rare special order Rota P45R's in 17x9 +12 and 17x9.5 +12. I'm on the fence because of the cost. They're 700 + 100 shipping, and then I'd be looking at another 600 - 800 for meats for them. I think I'm going to get the XXR 501's... cheaper meats since I'll be shredding them often.

Get the 17's. That stagger would be sweet, and the tire choices are better.

^ what he said, 16" tires will not be cheaper, theres very few options out there, and all of them are pretty pricy. I wish I had the option of stagered 17's available when I got mine.

Just double checked I can score Kumho Ecsta ASX's 275-40-17's for like 88 each. Guess I'll HAVE to drop the coin on the Rota P45R rims then :D
Sean... Do you think I'll have any issues with LESS steering angle from the wider tires?

I don't know, as I've never run that larg of a tire setup in front. I would like those size wheels for a street setup, but would still run a smaller diameter for auto-x.
