Good trade?? -- 86.5 Supra for 79 Supra

So as the title says, I just found a guy on craigslist looking to sell or trade his 79 celica supra. Decent shape, 140k... Well here, just look if your interested. We have already talked a bit.

I have an 86.5 supra. Mostly stock. Annoying exhaust that was on it when I got it. Somewhere around 160k miles. (have not drove it since the fall) I was going to put it up for sale here sometime soon for 2k. Now I think its a good deal for both of us. I want the mk1 for one reason.... Just cause I want one! My first car was a 79 celica gt.... I miss it. Im pretty sure my mk3 is worth more than his mk1.... Possibly. So, what do all you guys and girls think? I myself, like the mk2's better than any of them. (Ok... I would drive a mk4 if giving the money to mod the hell out of it.) Any and all thoughts and comments welcome....

It appears to have bondo in the dented quarter so that makes me wonder if there are rust issues. He says the engine is tired. It is getting harder to find 4 and 5ME's these days. Of course you could do like most people here want to do with an MK1 and that's put a late model engine in it.
I don't know what condition yours is in. I do think your's would most likely bring more $$$. There is a nice PPMK1 out west for sale here on the board. If it was closer I would have it. You are close(well compared to me)! I don't think it needs much of anything and in the long run would be the cheapest rout assuming you could sell yours quickly.

Mine is is pretty good shape. The interior is almost perfect, exterior wise it had a couple dents in the front from a jeep. It runs great, just rebuilt the head because of bad valve stem seals.
