Besides my 83 celica gts that I bought new I have my garage queen(now don't get upset!) a 95 Acura Integra gsr with 56,000 miles. It is all stock. Bought it from my brother in-law who was going to trade it for a BMW in 2002.

'04 Buick Rainier is the family vehicle, which after I got it, I realized it is one big-a$$ supra (4.2l inline 6, RWD, 3.73 LSD). And it is the first car that I had to read the manual for since it is like a space shuttle with all the switches and electronics in it.

Else? I haven't set foot (or other part) in a Supra in over a year... a lot longer if that Supra needs to move under it's own power.

Right now my main ride is a 2009 Mazdaspeed3. It's a zippy little family 5-door, that is surprisingly fast (just ask the 323i, Z3, and 944 who have found out in the last week ).

My normal DD is a 76 BMW 2002, but that was put in a garage back in December/January when the snowstorm led to only 87 octane being available, which lead to a blown engine :duh:. While I had it in a garage rebuilding, I figured I might as well toss on the 5-speed I had, fender flares, spoiler, repaint, etc etc... and thanks to that snowballing, here I am 5 months later.

87 Toy 4x2 carbed = my hauler.
86 MR2 4age-T projeect ... burned valve, no space or time in the garage.
85 Corolla GTS - Someone come get this project out of my garage.

50% or more ownership =

68 Dodge Charger - major project.
9? Harley Softail - did I mention there is a Corolla taking up space in my garage ?
78? Camaro RS - just aquired, 4spd car, most parts are there, not sure what I'm gonna do with it.
69 Suburban 2dr with barn doors, 4spd, need restoration, mostly there.

I have a 96 Altima GXE. 5spd 136,xxx miles. I bought it after I was told no one would let me drive my 84 Celica up to school. No one trusted the car. Got the Altima, got tired of it (wanted my Celica feel back), bought the Supra. Giving the Altima to my brother later this year.

I plan to buy a truck this year, or possibly next. I'm leaning towards a full-size 8ft bed (has to be 8ft) truck, late 70s, the 80s, or early 90s Fords, Chevys, Dodges. I wish Toyota had been making a full size truck back then :( May still end up with a Toyota pickup, but it's the underdog right now. Funny cause when I bought the Altima there was a white Ford Ranger 5spd there, and I overlooked it. Kinda wish I hadn't, but then again I might not have the Supra now if I had bought it haha.

Can't keep driving my Supra hunting, fishing, and to the junkyard lol.

86 Chevy Cavalier Z24 runs but just sits needs windsheild to be legal, and needs a tune up bad. Other than that it's a piecer that runs great.

2000 Ford Windstar Family car, runs like shit, looks like shit, and we paid way to much. :32: 3.8 v6 thats impossible to work on. I hate it! But they did make it easy and circle the problem on it. (FORD)

I own legally a 71 Cadilac Coupe DeVille 472 v8 loved that car. Its in a bump to pass class somewhere. And a 86? VW golf it needed work so i sold that project to a freind. Both are still in my name just dont know where they are. I did see the Cadi on craigslist he was sellin all the chrome trim and spare parts he didnt need. So good to know theres a little bit of it out there on the road.

Toyota only made them for 87 and 88. From what I understand they only made about 4500 of them. I don't know for sure since there are no "official" production numbers. I still see regular FX's on the road pretty often concidering they were cheap beater cars. FX-16 are very rare. My daughter likes to joke that she is having an FX-16 meet so all local FX-16's are going to be at our house (all one of them).

This car has been fantastically reliable. The original owner was really anal and did everything by the book. We bought it when it had 208K on it and the original clutch finally wore out at 230K. It now has 245K on it and other than normal wear items it is still original. The A/C was even converted to R134 years before we bought it and still works great.

I would thing nothing of setting the cruise control and driving this car cross country with nothing but a couple of quarts of oil in the hatch in case it needed it and leave the tools home.

Picked up an 87 Toyota 4X4 4 RUNNER a couple of month's ago. Haven't added it to my sig yet. Awesome vehicle, getting rather rare these days in good, stock condition. 22RE, 5 speed----very versatile.
Interesting to see the rare FX 16 Corolla. I didn't even know they existed till a few weeks ago when trying to help a friend find a reliable, used car. I told him to find a Toyota---he wanted to buy an old Ford.
We looked at a lot of crap and heard a lot of jive, of course. It had to come with a smog certificate which weeded out most of the cars. Then, I saw an ad in the paper for the FX 16. Had 206 K, two owners, silver, always garaged, 5 speed. First owner was an old lady. She garaged it with a car cover! Meticulously maintained----looked new and even had new-looking owners manual and original sales brochure. Nice score----kinda wish I had bought it for myself.
I heard this car had won a race once. Interesting car.Soon as my friend bought it he called me on his cell---alt. light was on and so was his brake light. Sound familiar?
Well replacing the alt. on this front-wheel driver was no picnic. Had to get under the car and remove a sway bar bolt to coax the alt. in and out. Not fun!

What's not to love? Why did they stop making this car? I'm guessing my pal will get 35-40 MPG on the highway.

Not quite 35-40. Ours gets more like 33 at best on the highway. Ours came from the original owner and he was just as anal as your lady. We even have the original window sticker and the car was only rated for 29 on the highway.

What makes it fun? Find it in this picture.

Hmmm Lay down rear spoiler it looks like, indicating and 87 or 88, but the black stripe across the rear bumper indicates and 86 or older. Could be the angle of the pic on the rear spoiler.

305 H.O. with auto was standard. Manual transmission was never an option in the U.S., though there are conflicting reports that there was a Mexican version with a 350 and 4 speed, but I've never actually seen one.

I'd have to guess you did the manually tranny conversion and put in a 350???

Monte SS is on my list of cars I should have owned but never did... actually went to the lot to look at them in 86 and my buddy talked me into a Supra L type....

I still have the 305 L.O. if anyone wants it. Too bad it performs less than the 4.3 v6 offered in the same years.

Its got a 2bolt main 350 from 79 2wd scottsdale, t5 from 91 camaro rs and caddy rear disc.
car is an 84 ss all original otherwise.

It would be useless to buy one back then cause its just a bumper, lip spoiler, center console and floor shift. Really....thats the difference from the SS to LS.

There is a mexi carlos ss 4sp 350, real limited slip (no mini-spool like I have) and disc brakes. Never saw one in real life let alone in the states. Saw one in mexico on montecarloss.com but thats it. You can build one for about $1100 like I did. So freakin ez, but perhaps 2uzfe+v160 in the near future? Friends are harassing me to go tpi 355 with procharger (or 2) buuuut.....I dunno. Then I'm stuck with the same problems as the silly corolla stuff breaking under any stress.

Funny with the jze72, the stock 1jz would out perform the 350 stock for stock....yes I thought about the 1j into the carlo. Overruled!

Well...I've got two rides. Both are out ready to ride year-round. No exceptions. Truck's been down a lot this year cause it wasn't taken care of very well, but she's ready for hunting season that starts Friday.

Big Six: 1987 Ford F150 300 I6
Small Six: 1984 P-Type 5M-GE I6

I love inline 6 engines. I also love to drive the truck more than the car. Would love to drop that 4.9 in a Mustang someday just to be different. 126K miles on the Supra, and probably near 300K on the truck. I've swapped out the stock cluster and it had 93,xxx on it, who knows how many times it's tripped.

And here's my backup vehicle. Got me through the worst of the ice jam here in Atlanta a while back, and is just totally unstoppable!

Gotta get pics of both ... yeah, I know, lame ... get off my ass and get them ... but.

1. 99 Dakota X-cab, 5.2 4x4 auto ... shit a rod in Montana 3 weeks after getting it.

2. 94 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 5.2, full time 4wd ... bought it to tow the truck back home.

At $5k or more, to get the engine changed in the truck, at any shop back there, I'll take my time, buy a reman local to home, swap the bitch myself. F'n oil field markup, and all I've been able to get is a price on the engine. MT local shops, are in no hurry to even get an estimate so you can authorise repairs. Guess my version of small town Everett, is big city to them .... -- we'll get to it when we get to it --- seems to be the mentality back there.

My mother's 2001 Ford Taurus.

A 1995 Dodge Caravan cargo van.

1986 Civic I can't drive due to it lacking a title (hope I can fix that).

Not incredibly exciting cars any of them, except my Civic hatch with no title is pretty neat really, except for the fact it can't be legally driven and has some vacuum leak or something that makes it unable to idle below like 2000RPM (maybe I'll use what I learned on the Supra and just advance cam timing to gain some vacuum...). Oh, and 4 speed manual, too, not a 5. I really gotta get it running, though, much better gas mileage. I want to paint it up like a kanjo racer car, cuz it'd be fun, you know?

And, my mom's Taurus is my mom's Taurus. I had my only car crash in it in the snow, and totaled her first 2001 Taurus. That Taurus I was super cool and put a "spectre" cone filter on, then, unable to decide on another car, she bought another 2001 Ford Taurus. This one, compared to the old one, is basically slower, due to the lack of the cone filter, at first I thought the cone filter making it faster was my imagination, but this one with same mileage/etc isn't as fast as the old one with it. To be fair, with the old one, I did seafoam the oil at least once in it's life, and much of the time it did have synthetic in it.

The cargo van was given to me by my father with a super broken radiator, and later after that a freezeplug popped. But, with a 40 dollar junkyard radiator, and a rubber freezeplug, it's been running pretty well. I mostly use it as a mobile toolshed, though.

So yeah.

I love my Celica, but I need family cars, too! I have a 1993 Jeep Cherokee Limited with 250,000 miles on it, original transmission and engine - so far it is still running... And my wife drives a 2009 Chevy Malibu. Yes, she definitely drives a Malibu.

2011 Nissan X-Trail at the moment. But they get swapped over very frequently, recently had Qashqais and Navaras (Frontiers), and occasionally Maximas.

I prefer to just drive the supra but inbetween motor swaps and the last makeover i tend to by something to get me around. First was a 92 ford ranger 5 speed 2wd sold it a couple years ago. The last one was a 94 explorer sport 4x4. Just so happens the tranny decided to give out about 3 days before i finished the car lol. Sold that crapper for 2hundo last week and my parts car today so the 83 is all alone agian.

Just picked up a 2004 Audi S4 Avant in the classic nogaro blue. It drives pretty nicely and has enough cargo space for extra wheels/parts! It's funny but I have to remember that it has a sixth gear...

Blue wagons are where it's at. ;)

Nice Jeff, I was looking hard for an S4 Wagon before I bought my WRX Wagon, but couldn't find any near me in a decent price range.

Looks like your gonna have a hell of a stable of cars if Damon takes much longer on your MkII.

Current daily is a 1985 P-type that I got as payment for swapping a JDM b18 into an Integra. I've quickly fallen in love with this damn car, it didn't run for about a year, then I moved into a new house with a garage, a week later it had a new alternator, fluids, belts, and registered with insurance and is loud, and needs far too much to be more than a boring DD.

http://samlin.com/cs/IMG_2163.jpg

My muse and fun car is a 2006 Pontiac GTO, with far too much done to it and needs to be done to it to be a fun car. The short of it, cam, exhaust, coilovers, 3.91s.
