View Full Version : cs.com logo for bus cards
Is it possible to download the celicasupra.com logo?
I'd like to print it on business card sized cards to leave under windscreen wipers of MkIIs I see parked around the area, but never see the drivers.

Thats a really good idea, because there have been several times i have tried to write notes on napkins and leave on ppls cars but they probably think i'm wierd, and they are all sloppy...lol...great idea....

haha, i know what you mean about the notes, ive done that a few times, got a few responses too.
i think that the business card idea is a good one, could easily bring us some new members.

I do have the cs.com logo in several formats, and could easily do a quick bus. card for leaving under windshield wipers-they used to do that in the Durango Owners Club and had great response from them. I'd like to suggest one thing though, how about a little design contest from the members? I've seen a lot of great artwork over the past several months from folks here, and would think that they'd love to have an opportunity to show their stuff! We can all do a vote on which card gets the honors!!!
I'll take the final design and get it "prepped" for anyone to download and print on a color printer (or b/w if need be). I can also set up the cs.com logo in several formats for those designing a card!
Any other ideas on this??? cs.com custodians, any input???
:imwithst:
Ill start working on something

that looks pretty good, although you might want to spell "information" right before it gets into print, lol

whoops....rough draft anyway still trying to figure out how to use Adobe Illustrator I'm a :dumbass: anyway
That would be fine on an A4 or A5 sheet, but may not be too readable on a business card.
I really just wanted the logo on a card, but I'm no graphic designer, so I'll go along with whatever is decided upon.
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid107/pbc7891365c49092e72600f92b04db926/f9690397.jpg It may be small due to the fact that I made them the size of business cards :?

i like that one zank... looks good, seems legible, descriptive.
whats the word malloy? stephen?
any problems using the banner for something like this?

Both look pretty good....the only thing we should do is clean up spelling and grammatical errors before we print them. Great idea, though!

Zank,
Looks good...I think something like that will work out just fine. However I do agree that the text needs to be gone over for errors. Other than that, it's perfect.
One other thing, as you probably know...it's best to create 'Vector based' artwork when you're making stuff for print. What looks good on the web (.jpg & .gif files) doesn't print well. Make sure you've designed whatever you're making so it's printable/legible.
If we're all using this same card it would at least make us all consistent - plus we'll know that we're giving out the same message, at the same level of quality as a group.

I like Zanks card. It's a good idea. I know of about 4 or 5 mk2's I could put it on around me.

okay, here's what I came up with for now. I'm sure it'll go thru a billion changes, but should be good to start with!
http://www.kolohe.net/art/buscard2.jpg
It's been sized up for viewing, but will print just fine on any decent color printer in hi-res mode, as well as a laser printer...
ewww Jasons car :ugh: ................................ :joke: thats a good one :good:

No offence, but I thought these were supposed to be business cards...
I think black text/graphics on white stock, of the ever-so-popular celicasupra outline/link thing on one side, and then a combination of zank and flyin's text on the other would suffice just fine.... plus they could be made much more cheaply than these hires pictures and whatnot.
Keep in mind, this will be under someone's wiper, very likely get tossed, possibly rained/snowed on, etc. Imo, no need to complicate a simple task.

uhm, does someon have a hi-res of the supra outline/cs.com text logo thingey? Vector'd would be pretty schweet, but I'll take what I can get.

Yes, I know, the first one was a bit to artsy, I tend to overdo it first go-around, but now that I know what everyone's looking for, these may just do it!!! 8)

Here is my suggestion. I like to keep it simple, what do you guys think?
Posting just the logo, may lead the owner to think the card is a plug for someones business. By adding 'club' I think they will get the idea, and check us out.

Only problem with printing front & back is alignment. Every printer is different, and getting them to align right will be a pain for most. If we were to have these professionally printed, this would not be a concern, but then we'd have to sell the cards and have someone mail it-too much work for just cards.

I have a bunch of card stock from when I made my own business cards. I like the simple black and white. I could print some out for the local guys around here in Washington and hand them out for free at the next Supra Meet.

P.S. This probably isn't the place to post this and it may have been mentioned before... but what about CS.com License plate frames? Those are the type of thing that we couldn't do ourselves...

Okay, okay, okay!!! Mike has approved a final design and will be posting a Word 97+ file for everyone to print out. I've made it as easy as possible for everyone, all you need to do is purchase Avery's Business card stock, #8371 (all their products are numbered), or similar. Stick the perforated card stock into your printer and print the Word document-that's all!
The file prints well with laser printers and inkjets, so there should be no problem with quality.
The cards are basic, but get the message across. If you want to leave a personal message, just write it on the front or back of the card!
Yes, this has taken a long time to complete, but that's what happens when you've got way too much on your table!!! Sorry for the delay...

And just to double check that, did they line up correctly? I don't have that stock, so I have no way of testing them. And for everyone, if you find any problems, PM me, not Mike, as I'll fix the art and send it to him for posting! No sense buggin' him, he's already loaded down with other stuff!

Chris,
Lined up just fine and look really good. Spacing is correct...nice work. Simple and to the point, which is what we wanted in the first place I think. It will drive the point home and give everyone something "uniform" to hand out to people with MkII Supras.
Nice job :)
