At least 15mm spacers front & rear. 245-45-17 for the front and 255 or 265 -45-17 for the back

You would need atleast a 7-8mm spacer for the front. Rears are fine unless you wanna run a 7-8mm spacer as well just for the hell of it. 245/45 or 40 for the fronts and 275 or 255/40 for the rears would be ideal.

Remember our stock offset is +8.
Those rims are +25 for the front on a 17x8 and +15 for the rear on a 17x9.
That means the front rim is 1/2" wider on inside AND outside, however it's ALSO centered 17mm further inward. That means you're going to require 17mm + 1/2" (13mm) which works out to REQUIRING 30mm of clearance on the inside lip of the front rim between it and the spring/strut housing. Not to mention your rim is going to be sunken in from the fender flare (w/o a spacer).
The rears are 9" rim so that rim is an 1" wider on outside and inside, AND the rim is centered 7mm further inward. So you will REQUIRE 7mm + 25mm = 32 mm required clearance on the rears on the inside lip of the rim.
The rims will work however don't forget hub-centric rings, as well as the spacers. It can get expensive and annoying to make it all work together.
Spacers would very likely be required just to get these to fit right not to mention any talk of getting the fitmet to look proper and flush.

These are a much better fitment even if the style is Meh...

Remember, theres plenty of members here running 17x8/9 +17 offset all around on here (Roh gb) with no issues at all even with 275/40s in the rear. 7-8mm spacer is the biggest/safest we can go on stock studs.

Very good point you have there, however I wouldn't be against replacing 25 yro studs with ARP's :D

I wonder if 17x9 +12 is too big for the front wheels..

I'm not sure, however I am saving up for some rims and I really like the Rota P45R's... They make a P45F, but that's got no dished in spokes it's flat and they've higher positive offsets.
I don't think it'd be too wide. But I'm not against doing some creative fender rolling and reattaching my fender flares.

i already have another thread reguarding the rota 45R and F. you would have to do Fs in the front and Rs in the rear. imo thats not the best look and ive seen that exact fitment on 2 cars at local shows. you can deff tell they are 2 differnt wheels.
back to looking at SSRs. anyother brands that are 400-550 a wheel? that will fit?
