ey guys i never like nissan since i had one and the timing chain went up, complete mess, vent a couple valves, it had 110K, anyway i fixed and sold...now friend of mine has a 98 frontier with the ka24de, has around 220K or more, stick shift, check engine light was on..egr excessive flow, knock sensor, and cylinder #4 missfire.
i replaced the vacuum hoses for the egr, did a tune up, cap, rotor, spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter, car runs good, idle is good, no coughing or any vibration, but the PO304 code still there, i read a lot about the ka24de, and found outpossible causes:
bad intake manifold gasket (is this a common problem)
mass air flow (didnt check it yet)
and now alldata say it could be a bad distribuitor
i have spark on each cylinder, injectors the same, how can i test the distribuitor? alldata doesnt show me anything.
any ideas?? thanks.
