View Full Version : New Raptor Racing Product: 6 Line Stainless Brake Line Kit

We’ve never liked the 8 piece Brake Line kit for a few reasons:
Too expensive. The more & fittings the higher the price
The 2 piece front lines require you to either cut the mounting tab on the strut or disconnect the lines and re-bleed your brakes when replacing the front struts.
The solution: a one piece front line kit that lowers the cost of the kit and simplifies new strut installation. Here is a pix of the new lines all together:

Pricing
$112usd **SHIPPING INCLUDED** (Continental US and Canada)
Canadian Customer Must add applicable taxes.
For now these are only available with smoked covers.
Thanks Chris (Xeno Omega) and Damon for being the guinea pig; taking pix and testing the lines
I will be updating my Brake Catalog to reflect this change; I will not longer be offering the 8 line kit as it makes no sense to be selling an inferior product for more money.

Alex;
normally no; but I have a local customer who desperately needed rear lines only. So I have one set of Fronts only that I can sell for $70shipped.

Hahaha...not this year buddy. Believe it or not I still re-visit this every few months hoping companies lower their initial amount. Although they have come down a little, it's still not enough for me to justify the huge initial costs.

Nice kit George. SS lines made a huge difference in pedal feel for my car. If I didn't already have the goodridges, I'd be all over this.

70 is a good price but i can justify it. Well that and if i read currently you got them in that black color only and I want team in SS. Thank you so much tho. I might need something else line wise when i get my BBK right?

BBK and Normal lines are totally different. Why clear lines...they're just going to be black after a few weeks of driving anyway :).

do these have tags on them stating suitable for street use like the goodridge ones?
And is there enough length in the fronts for use with z32 4pot upgrade?
cheers

Yes they do get dark but I clean mine EVERY time I show my car. I even take off the wheels sometimes.

The fittings do say "DOT" on them if that helps.
Are stock front lines long enough? These are the same overall length.

After inspecting my braking system from pedal to pad recently, I can really appreciate this kit! This is a great price and design. I'm wondering though, why not whack off the hard line on the rear arm and go 1 piece line from rear supply hardline to caliper? Then kit would be down to 4 pieces?
Keep up the great work!

Don;
stop giving everyone else my idea's :zzzzz:. Too many little projects and not enough time...the fronts were the easiest to tackle. I'd love to get the rear done too but have a couple other fish to fry. Thanks for the kind words!!!

Haha, not to worry George. Lots of ideas around, some even in my head, but you are one of the few that actually follow through. I'm impressed with the range of items in your catalog.
Thanks for your contributions !

Jake...I did make it to the post office yesterday afternoon; you should have a tracking number for your parts in your inbox.
Glad you got the springs on; don't be shy to take a few pix and post in my thread **hint hint nudge nudge** :)
As always thanks for your business and encouragement.

These are the exact same length as the stock 2 piece....if they are longer its very marginal.

Jake;
if you want a set I can get them made; I only planned on offering the smoked but have no issues getting 5 sets of clear ones made...I need to get a few other misc lines made so we're probably looking at about 3 weeks.

They were mailed promptly, and my son and I put this set on during the Thanksgiving break, along with a MC cylinder change/fluid flush. They fit great, didn't have/haven't had any issues with them, and they're an excellent replacement for the 25 year old soft lines.
