Hi guys
This is my first post on here. I have been looking aorund for a while, its a great resource.
I need to get hold of settings for tracking for my '86 MA61. Anyone got any ideas? My local garages don't have it on the books. It's running the P type wheels, not that I'd imagine that makes much difference..?
Cheers in advance.

Front caster 4.15 deg +/- .75 deg, with no more than .5 degree cross caster

Nice one. I know nothing about these things. All I know is that it was straight as an arrow, until I took the car in to get the front wheels balanced as they had a wobble, the drivers side had a slow puncture so they fixed that at the same time.
They swapped the wheels around for some reason, and now that both tyres consistently have the same pressure in, the car drags to the left. They tested the tracking when I took it back, and I remember it saying 8 on each side, with the laser thing..
When I get the alternator replaced and I can get the thing started I will drop it back with your figures. Thankyou very very much indeed. :)

He was asking for stock settings. I would never run positive camber in the front.
My settings are more like:
-2.7 deg front camber
4.6 degrees caster (all I could get)
.40 degrees toe out (-0.40 deg)
-1.7 deg rear camber
0 to .10 rear toe in
To the OP, I think you have a tire pull and not an alignment issue, if you say the car tracked straight until some tires got moved around. You can't tell by looking at tires or on an alignment rack. Try switching left front to right front and see what that does.

Happy with your settings on the track Sean? How is it on the street?

I'm happy with the settings I have now. I have access to an alignment rack at work and have played around with the settings a bit. I used to have my car on the rack weekly, but now I just leave it alone. At one time I had -3.2 degrees front camber, which cornered well, but I lost a lot of braking power. -2.7 front camber wound up being the happy medium, and my tires (comp tires) wear evenly. I also used to dial in a lot of rear toe (1/4" per side) when my car was tail happy, but I've fixed that with spring rates now, and removed the rear toe to help it rotate better. Everybody's car is going to be set up a little different, you just have to play with it to find what you like.

Ooooooh, "tracking". I thought that was some crazy slang, like "hooning" or such, for running your car on a track.
Just get a correct alignment on the front to stock specs and then focus on tires, swithing left to right and such.

same here. I had an alignment done and still had a pull. when I got my new BFG radials mounted up I went to a shop that had a hunter engineering GSP9700 road force wheel balancer. car's vibrations are gone and tracks like a dream now. it's worth the time to find a shop that has a quality machine like this. just because they say they have a "snap-on" balancer doesn't mean it's the best ;)

When it stops raining I will get them swapped.
Cheers for your help thus far, hopefully it will sort me out. Wish me luck!
