starion wheels are pretty sick. tough call though. p-types are hot too. but 16's, ftw!
I'm a sucker for p-types, wish they were 16s though.

We need another option: 16" P-type's!

That a photoshop job? The rear looks blurry, and the undercar shadow looks weird, thats why I ask.
Looks cool though!

I think the P-types. they're just a little more aesthetically pleasing, maybe we could all contact a wheel manufacturer to manufacture some p-types in larger sizes????

Misleading question: "What should have come factory?"
It shouldn't be a question about wheels at all and the answer is:
A turbo option.

Neither one of those choices. One of these:

I'd take a nice set of P types over the Starion's any day.

I'm starting to wonder if those are going to clear with my drop. -10 is risky.... I'm pretty low in the back. the normal starion wheels may fit better...

how about this. who would do the startion set up if their goal were a BBK?

either way if you go 5lug a whole new world of better than x8 and x9's starion wheels will open up to you.
like 17x9 and 9.5 with around 10 offset would look so rad

Should clear if you don't use an extreme width tyre. 16x9 +0 with a 255/45-16 tyre would be fine. 16x8 -10 with a 245/45-16 tyre would be fine too.
16x9 +0 front spacing is 5".
16x8 -10 front spacing is 4 7/8".
I'm running 17x9 -12 with a 245/40-17 tyre no issues.
17x9 -12 front spacing is 5 1/2".
The nice thing about Starions too is they come in four options. 16x7 +18, 16x8 +18, 16x8 -10 and 16x9 +0. Mix and match as you please.

Grant wants to with JK BBK. Just have to see how it clears the caliper using MS65 hub. Another suggestion would be to design a hat for the JK BBK to fit over the Starion and Z31 hub like the rear setup. I like the floating front disc design the Z31 and Starion hub. The disc is easier to swap out and it acts like a spacer pushing the offset out. This means more wheel selection and more clearance for wider calipers.
MPV disc and Q45 2 piston calipers is plenty big... and a great improvement over stock. This does depend on power of the car and driving style.

17x8 +20 would fit great on the front.
Regardless, 14" tyres are a thing of the past unfortunately and no one will make a bigger Ptype wheel. The market just isn't there. It sucks, that's the truth.
Unless someone hands me $20,000. Then yes, pigs do fly.
What's that little thing in the middle?

I've been debating the 5 lug thing for some time myself, even got some ms123 rear stubs in case I ever decide to do it. For the front, I'd go ahead with the nissan 300z conversion for hubs and brakes, not that hard to find and I'd be done with it.
But my issue always was wheels, never found what suits me yet in either 4 or 5 lug so... I'm just waiting for the right wheels to fall in my hands to make a final decision.

Just to lay things to rest I tried (http://forums.celicasupra.com/showthread.php?p=44544#post44544) the front JK BBK with a M65 Crown hub and 16x7 +18 Starion wheel. No issues. Please see here (http://forums.celicasupra.com/showthread.php?p=44544#post44544) for more information.
