Will high resistance cause my car not to start?

I was checking my resistor pack's resistance and got a reading of 4.7 - 5 ohms. My Haynes manual says the resistance should be 3 ohms.

Will this cause my car not to start?

I suspected it is the resistor pack after doing a search on trying to find out why my car wont start.

BTW, I have spark and getting fuel to the fuel rail. Also the car was running fine then suddenly stopped. All vacuum hoses look okay at first look.

Yes. Hi resistance will limit the ability of the injectors to open.

I checked another car and the resistance reading was 7 ohms and the car was running fine.

Has anyone checked theirs? What values do you guys get?

I also checked resistance on my coils and the reading was 1.4 ohms where it is supposed to be 0.3 - 0.5 ohms.

The reason why I'm asking is to find out if all these differences makes a difference in the performance of the car, and maybe the reason why engines don't perform as good as they do from factory even if you do a rebuild.

Hi resistance should limit your max power out since injectors will not open fast enough at hi rpm sending less fuel per squirt than could be obtained with low resistance.
