an mk3 dash or just the cluster.obviously is not bolt in but has anyone tried it?

this has been covered before...i cant remember who said it first, but its more practical to buy a mkIII
youd have to change all the wiring and the engine/tranny, and most everything else to make it all work properly.

I did a similar swap for my MX73 Cressida (Mk III cluster into Cressida) but this was at the same time as doing a 7M-GTE install. The biggest problem is that you have to cut a huge chunk out of the Mk II dashboard to fit the Mk III cluster. Then you have to mould something in to hold the cluster (like a chunk from the Mk III dash) and then get it all recovered.

Once that's done, you've got the wiring to splice/change to make it work. It's not a quick or even easy job and I wouldn't do it again myself! Still, it look impressive when it was finished.
