Drivers Window clicks but will not move

the drivers window will click but not move. move switch either up or down and u can see the motor and hear it click and attempt to move but nothing after that. is there something that can be jamming it up or is the motor toast?

what can i do to check it out?

The worm wheel is probably worn out, so the motor runs but cannot engage. I don't think the gear is available seperately, so either a new actuator or a good used one.

thanks..there is a celica at the local yard. i will have to see if its good then.

basically you should be able to put 12v on it and the motor should spin. swap the leads and spin the other direction right?
