Well i just blew the engine in one of my Supra's... my new one, apparently the Previous Owner had some fun with her. Anyway, i was wondering if i put new bearings and rings in an engine do i need to replace the oil pump? Or should i just run through the checks in the TSRM and if mines in spec go ahead and reuse my old one?

Thanks Guys

I would replace the oil pump, well unless if you are fond of tearing the engine apart multiple times.

I've got a new one I can sell you (along with stock sized rings, bearings, thrust washers, etc). If you're interested in any of the parts, I'll make you a deal. aaron@rabidchimp.com

Come on now, tearing apart engines is almost better than sex.

Almost but sex is definately more in repetition, it gets old quick when your tearin down the same one over and over. Replace the pump for your sake.

I wouldn't replace the oil pump just for the sake of it. Tear it down, clean and run fresh oil through it. No reason it would fail if cleaned out. Not that many moving parts inside an oil pump.

THIS! they are very simple parts...you can check it over as per the tsrm but generally a $10 spring replacement from the dealer will make it perform like new.
