I did a search and didn't find anything, which is surprising b/c I thought I had read about this somewhere but can't remember now... if anyone does find it, please direct me there so I don't cause an uproar, LOL
:D

anyway, I have this huge annoying gap where my glove box door should meet the dash, I've tried to adjust it to no avail, anyone have suggestions or a cure for this?

i do :)

you know the striker where the glove box catches on?
open up the glove box, grab your trusty phillips screwdriver, and loosen the two screws, then push the striker down/in.
tighten the screws back up, and close the glove box.

that should close it up some, and otherwise it might be your bottom hinge sagging slightly.

I had the same problem...when I took the dash apart to fix my DVV I put the latch that the glovebox door lock connects to in upside down...its nice and snug now...have you ever taken the dash off? try rotating the latch it takes only a few seconds

Not to waste bandwidth, but the exact same thing happened to me when I was doing my dash resto; I readjusted the latch, and it looks better (though still not good enough IMHO; I'll have to get around to fixing it soon)

Another bizarro thing that I've discovered over the years.

It is "possible" to install the thing upside down. That causes a bit of a gap between the door & the dash pad. Putting it back right side up & adjusting it, removed the gap.

Something Don Culbertson told me about 3 years ago..

This was driving me crazy too. Could not figure why my glove box had a large gap (thought my dash was warped). Glad this problem was experienced by another Supra owner. Turned the latch upside down and the glove box is snug as a bug.....thanks for the tip!

yup, upside down fixes it right up, assuming your hinges are good and all.
