View Full Version : Can someone specify which connector I jump to check timing..
...or if it's posted somewhere on the site, please point it out to me. I've not done this before to my car and neither the chilton (I think it is) manual, nor the TSRM online make it any clearer to me. I have an '85 and in that area there are 5 yellow plugs/connectors (two are connected to other plugs, and the other three are just hanging out, and those 3 all are a different diameter). Also in the same area there are 4 green plugs, one of those being not connected to any others. I appologize if there is an obvious answer to this. If so I'm blind to that fact. Thanks!

Don't have a manual handy, but one way to know if you've got the right plug is to turn your car to the ON position, jumper one of the yellow plugs and see if the check-engine light flashes. If so, you have found your plug :-)
