hey everyone,
i was just wondering has anyone ever ordered pistons for a 5m/6m through rockauto?
looking at the picture it seems like theyre the low compression pistons ...can anyone confirm this?
i asked but rockauto doesnt keep parts in stock at theyre call centers so couldnt confirm with me..
any info would be greatly appreciated...
thanks in advance,
Joseph

I might have a couple in storage...bought some a few months ago and might still have them in storage. I'll check tomorrow and if I have them report back.

I bought one a month or two ago. I seem to remember it was one of the low comp ones. It's sitting out in the car right now as a matter of fact but I'm too lazy to get to it right now.

why do you want the low comps? Whats the manufacturer.

Not sure which manufacturer..but theyre just the oem stock replacements..nothing special..
reason for the low compression pistons is to aim for a slighlty lower compression than the stock 9:2:1 compression(i have late model 5m)...
using the 8:8:1 pistons and a slightly thicker HG to lower the compression just to be safe...ill be running low boost..

thanks alot for taking the time to post the pic... i really appreciate it..
after a week of emailing and calling around, there arent many places that have the low compression pistons available for out 5m/6ms.especially the .020 oversized....
anyways Thanks again,
