Just as a heads up so no one else has to go through what I did. The clutch kit autozone lists on their website and sells for a 1986 supra is wrong. I went back to their site and looked up 82- I think 88 and every clutch kit was listed the same, except the 1986 (and yes even listed as 2.8). Obviously a mess up on their part, and they argued with me about it, so I just ordered a 1985 clutch from them which of course worked, they cost me an extra $30 on the cherry picker I rented because I had to keep it another day!

You do know from 82-98 non-turbo clutches are interchangeable? There was a slight design change to the pressure plate around 89. They probably gave you a Mk3 turbo clutch which is different.

I am not sure what they gave me, but the pressure plate was slightly smaller that what I need even though it was the same design. I would think the turbo model pressure plate and clutch would be bigger!

Rule #1, never buy a clutch from a generic parts store.
Rule #2, refer to rule #1.
