cs.com was established exactly 10 years from today. We had some stuff going in the mid-late 90s via email lists and Geocities websites, but the actual URL was established 4/4/2000. Its cool to see that a number of the original members are still here! Some have moved on, but we have picked up many great members over the years. Thanks for everything!

Happy birthday CS.com, and congrats on achieving the decade milestone.
I have often wondered, how many MKII's would be gone, how much money has been spent on restoration, upgrades, and parts for repairs (the figure is immense I'm sure), and how many members that still own MKII's with major mods would be driving bone stock MKII's today if this forum did not exist?
The knowledge is all here, and the founder along with members have made it what it is today (the best source for Celica Supra information, and comradery among those who own them, or wish to) for which many are grateful. It's great to be a part of it today, and hopefully many years to come.

Happy Bday cs.com! If I hadn't found a bunch of knowledgeable cs lovers, my girl wouldn't be who she is today. And I've only had her since 11-09!
Thanks for all the tips & tricks fellas!

It was the Spring of 1997 when I did an internet search on the word SUPRA.
Thats when a photo of Reg Riemer's car appeared on my screen. Up til that moment, I thought I was the only person who actually gave a shit about these cars. Before that, my high school and college buddies just laughed at me.
From Reg's site, I found Supras.com which then led me to the first NE Meet in Rising Sun, MD. Thats where I first met this punky little kid from Philly named Mike Malloy.
I cant tell you if that was a blessing or a curse, but the rest is history.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CS... each and every one of us is responsible for the success of this place... So congratulate yourselves!!!

Wow! Where has all the time gone? But yes, kudos for a great forum. I was a bit slow to abandon the old email list and move to forums but now cs.com is like the cell phone. Hard to believe how I ever got along without it. But beyond the technology, its the great friends I've met along the way. I can find Corvette and Mustang fans right here at home, but I likely would not have made trips to visit places like Philadelphia, Toronto, Las Vegas, Albuquerque, Tulsa, Los Angeles, San Diego, Houston, etc. had it not been for the great people I've met via this forum who share my odd interest in this seldom seen little foreign car.

G, that's about the sametime I did the search from work. Didn't have a decent PC with internet yet. Reg's car came up and further searching revealed your museum piece. IIRC it had 25k miles and still remember the phtos from that page. I was thinking "25k miles, that guy is hard core!" lol
But, it was the text and .jpg crack cocaine on Reg's page which gave me hope for the Mk2. After reading it 157 times, I knew the 7mgte mk2 could be a reality for me. ~2.5 years later it was.
Time sure flies!

It might have never even started, let alone put 40 000kms on it, go to Toronto for Supra Meets, get a turbo, blow a head gasket, get a 7M, make real power, etc.... I was 18 when I got it and its been a ride well worth it.

Well, 10 years, my God. I was searching like Greg and came across Reg's car as well. Thought it was one of the nicest ones ever. Even then I thought the 7M was wild in these cars and after riding in many, it still is. Mike, thanks for a great place to "hang out" with the family and friends that I have here. To this day it is still the only active car site that I actually attend and reguarly write and particiapate on. CS is more than just a site for me it's a place where I can gain insight on my favorite car and learn what my friends that I only get to see a couple of times a year are up to.
Many more years of bliss to all.
Happy Birthday CS.com and thanks.

Happy Birthday CS.Com!!! I really appreciate this site and the members here who have shone me what passion and love they have for their Supras and Celicas. I have always tried to keep my Celica up since new and was slacking there for a while until I came across this site. The members here have given me the ambition to go at it again and to regain the passion that I enjoyed when it was new. Also met some really nice members at the meets I attended. Thanks and hope for another fun and informative ten years if we make it past 2012 and all that stuff. If we do the party is at my place in 2020.
Wow, i was 10 and only thought of a mkII supra as "my dads car"
I was already on my 2nd Supra when the yahoo email group and then this site came along just over 10 years ago. Thanks to all that I have learned so much from on this site. Can't say I will ever leave, or lose the desire to have a Mk2.

Thanks to everyone who set up CS, all founding members and current members, you guys have made this a wonderful place to be. Without this board the celica supra probably would have become another of those lost classics without the support of the members on here.
Good job and may we have many more years to come!

When this forum started, I had owned my first Supra, an 84 Deep Maroon, for 5 years. Because of this forum I understand the workings of our cars and automotive repair and improvements/upgrades ten fold. I am amazed and thankful for the amount information provided in both written form (the TSRM online) and by member's responses to posts. Without it, I may not have gone MSS and in the least, my supras today would not be in the condition they are in.
Personally, it is also ten years since I bought my first computer (which..., sad to say I am still typing this post from) My processor is pulling 750Mhz! maybe for this 10 year anniversary I'll get my first cell phone.... on second thought not quite yet, still need a job first
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!!!!

I just wanted to personally thank our founder/founders for this fantastic forum! Now I'd like to thank everyone else, especially the ones ive met in the beginning for helping me become one of the "old guys" today. Ive learned so much over the years and met some great friends because of this forum. Hell, ive become good friends with people on here and ive never met them face to face.
Youre a good bunch a guys and gals CS.com...let keep our community the tight group is now for another 10 years!!

Wow, 10 years. This sure is a great resource and a great way for all the Supra nuts around the world to get together. Thanks to everyone who makes this a fun place to hang around.
I'm another of the old guys that remembers the email lists and so on.
Memories....
- Malloy saying he was coming up to a Toronto meet back in the late 90's (and actually showing up!) and I offered him and Ryan Etzel (another name from the past) a place to stay, without ever meeting them. They were poor college students at the time.
- Driving to Niag Falls (again, late 90's) to meet some guy named Damon who was supposed to be even more crazy about Supras than me. And he is.
- Going to an Englishtown meet in 2001 and meeting the "G brothers", Greg G and Phil G (brothers from different mothers for sure). At least one of them knows how to eat a pizza.
I was considering selling my white 83 Supra in the mid-late 90's and was shopping around for a late 60's early 70's Porsche 911. At that time, I learned about the Toronto Supra Club (thanks Ben K), then found SOGI online, and that re-kindled the Supra flame. Look what that led to.... a yard full of Supras. The 911 can wait until I'm old and bald. Good times!

Haha, great post. I traveled to TO with Mike Tate who used to own a 2 tone 84. I dont remember if Etzel also went.
I miss my blue 85...that car defined "bulletproof" I dump the clutch now and I break pinion gears and driveshafts. I cant count the 100s? of times I dumped the clutch on that turd and tore off burnouts or 'drifts'

DOH!! I think you're right, it was Mike Tate who came up with you that time. I met Etzel another time. Must be getting old. You know what they say, "The mind is the second thing to go!" Wish I could remember what was the first thing to go.

Happy BDay CS.com. Such a great resource and you get a chance to contribute too. I have learned much and hope I have helped others as well, but I know a lot less than many others on here. It so nice to not be alone or at the mercy of a mechanic that don't know shi*. Always fun to take a look on here to see what's up in Supra land.

Happy Birthday CS.
You brought me to the US twice and led me to start NZ's SupraFest events.
First guys I met on here (in person) were Les G (mkiisupersupra) and Jeff S (jefenot) in Dec 03. I arrived in Albuquerque after 17 hours of flights from New Zealand. Pretty scary travelling that far to stay with someone you only knew through an internet forum! They were wearing home made MkII t-shirts and holding up a sign reading - your Mk2 Supra awaits. Les let me borrow one of his Mk2s for 5 months while I was in the US. Cool guy. Wish I was still in touch. Anyone know Les? While I was in the US I met the PACNW crew (Eng, Junkie, Don, Chimp etc) and a few others (Jimvegas, Alan G...) on a crazy road trip from NM to WA and then on to CA down the 101. I came back to the US in 2005 for Vegas. Wow. Wish I could do it all again. But have kids now. Have met a whole lot more of you in person, Sidman, Zank, Alex... (Crazy Horse Too ha ha)... Good times.
Sigh.
