i think it would be a good idea to have an items found on ebay section so anyone can post items they may have come accross that other members may be interested in... there always seems to be scattered posts around the forum on ebay items....plus it would be a nice place to check for things needed....

i disagree, if you are interested in something search ebay for that item, its kind of a clutter to have ppl going around posting everything, everyonce in awhile its ok i guess, but i don't think we need a section for it.

Seems to me doing more harm than good posting links to stuff on ebay. Suppose you're in desperate need of some holy grail part. You've gone to all the trouble of typing in "Supra" and sifting through all the crap that comes up and glory be, there's one on ebay in perfect condition. Next thing you know, somebody posts it on the forum and all of a sudden, you've got a half dozen people bidding on it. The price soars to a lot more than you'll have left outta your next pay check and now you're screwed! Just seems to me that posting ebay links is helping the sellers more than helping forum members.

good point there... a member just recently informed me ( privately ) about a wiper arm on ebay that I really need, and I was hoping to get it for a cheap price, but got slammed within the last few hours of the auction and was outbid. ( shakes fist at whoever outbid me )
I was all about putting an ebay section on here until I read what Phil typed, oh well

there is enough stuff on ebay for every one...u bid as high as u think then if its too high then wait unitl another shows up... posting an ebay section or titled as "internet parts found section i beleive is good for the members due to parts for our cars becoming extinct... if you do not want to look or bid on items in some cases then don't, but this section may be a source for others that they will need at some point. But lets not limit it to only ebay...alot of my parts have been bought through ebay...and i search it alot...i dont mind posting things for other people to look at.. or bid on if they need it...

sounds like a vote may be needed here to me....but we are a group here trying to help each other...sounds like in some posts here every one is out for them selves....if you have a part and you come across a rare part that some one may need,,,y not post it...

i agree with phil.
ive had that same thing happen to me, i dont recall the item, i think it was a mint armrest cover.
someone posted it in the forum and it went pretty high, way more than i could afford.
if you want something off ebay, then why not look on ebay.
it may sound "selfish" to you, but if i can go through the effort to search out a part, then why cant anyone else do the same?
i am all for helping other members, but when it clutters up the forum and makes life difficult for other members, you have to ask, is it for the greater good?
and just to sound like an asshole... if you have the money and really want a part and dont search for it, too bad :)
