I recently installed a 130 mph cluster in my supra.. and i noticed that the Rpms are reading about 800 rpm higher. I was wondering if this has nething to do with the donor cluster being form an automatic going to a manual... or could it be that i got it from a celica not a supra celica
On a 4 cylinder, every 2 sparks it 1 RPM.
On a 6 cylinder, it's at every 3..
If the cluster is coming from a Celica, you reading will be off by a factor of (3/2) 1.5 !
Auto or manual makes no difference.
When I swapped in a celica cluster I first swapped the tach modules. Easy to do just take out the 22+ screws in the back
