Not familiar with the '85 Celica having a 2.3l engine in it since the 22re is a 2.4l.
And if you do not know the difference between a Solid Rear Axle (SRA), and an Independant Rear Suspension (IRS), I think you need to learn more about working on cars before you start tearing into it.
If it is an SRA, a slide hammer with the attachment to go onto where the wheel bolts up is the easiest to use (quite a few auto parts stores rent them out). If it is an IRS, just tap on the backside of the axle stub with a hammer.

it is defenetly solid axle and prob is a 2.4 then and i used my slide hammer with a a fabbed up stud mount, and then when thaqt failed i used a chain come along, then that didnt work resorted to chain, still didnt come out at all,

Hmm, usually they do not fight that much when you try to take them out. Does the axle spin freely?
