LOL I like the sound of the car - don't need no damn radio to interrupt the experience ;)

Seriously, you want the tape to work? Usually the rubber bands driving the tape are toasted/rotted - if not this year, then next if you get a running unit. Just saying. No idea if they can be repaired, by my local good shop stopped auto radio repairs 2 years ago.
To me, for appearance I'd want a tape flap that still springs shut, and working heads - so you can use an aftermarket Cassette to analogue input (like off a CD player or MP3 player) to actually listen.

I will never use it. I just hate the idea of having a non-functioning unit in there. Its a sickness. I want a stock unit in there for the looks (LOL) (I do have 2 units already in various states of dis repair) Good points though.

rubber belts are usually easy to find at electronic stores (well at least one near me)
but the worst part on these radios is the gear at the bottom of the tractors (the 2 things that goes into the center
of the 2 tape rolls) cracks and separate slightly. when this happens, since the gear pitch is larger at the crack,
the tractor jamm turning....while the cabestan keeps pushing onto the tape....which is no longer roll in the cassette...
then the tape start to come out of the casette and gets dammage...
