Bug? View posts since last doesn't work on your threads

I've noticed this for awhile and have been meaning to mention it here. Any thread you start never seems to show up for you when it has new posts with the View Posts Since Last Visit button, unless you post in that thread again then hit the View Last button again. Kinda frustrating for people like me who basiclly only browse the forum through that feature. Especially frustrating when you post FS threads and such. I know I can hit the check box for recieving emails when the thread is replied to but I'd rather it just showed up with all the other threads with new posts. Is this fixable?

I don't know why it doesn't show up in "view posts since last visit" but actually, if you think about it, you've already visited that particular section of the forum...so the forum assumes it doesn't need to show new posts in that manner.

The way I do it is to look for the little indicator on the far left side of the screen that shows someone has replied to your post - or you could possibly set up your profile so you receive an email when a post is replied to. I know you don't want to do that but...

I am litterally slammed busy with work and I haven't been on the forum in a few days because of it. My free time is pretty much gone. Not putting you off by any means, but editing the forum code for this fix is way TOO much like my regular work.

Hopefully you can use the other features the forum provides for alerting you to thread replies...if you don't mind? :D

No I mean, you post a new thread, log off, a day later come back and hit View Posts and if your thread got any replies it won't show up in the list. Definatly seems like a bug to me. But hey, its a minor thing, just thought I'd mention it. I know what you mean, I'm a programmer too and I have little inspiration to do any at home :wink:

Wow...that's odd - hmmm. Perhaps I'll take a look at that then & first try to replicate it myself. Strange.

hmmmm, I was just about to say its done it everytime for the last month or so for me but I just realized that I'm only replying to this message because it showed up in the list of new posts :? Either its intermentent or I'm crazy. I thought I heard someone else complain about this recently. Anyone else experience this?

fyi steph its definatly still doing it. I started one thread yesterday and posted in another thread I had started and none of the replies to my posts showed up today. I triple checked to make sure this time :)
