was looking on ebay, and from the pics, it looks like these would clear the steering on a mk2 with a 1uz swap.

also on summitracing.com for the same price, but the flange is a little different. definatly would make this swap alot simpler if these fit. even if they didnt fit i cant imagin they would be hard to modify. if anyone tries them out let us know. i would love to do this swap one day haha

Don't expect much for quality

no, i wouldnt expect high quality, i had a pacesetter header for a 5m at one point, but if these clear, would make the swap easier.

people have tried them and said they hit the steering shaft. reason im asking is i totalled my ls400 a couple weeks ago, and i have the 1uz mk2 mounts already as well. so might do a 1uz swap on one of my mk2's. prolly my 86 at first since the engine is out, and once everything is finalized, and i find another car for a dd, ill switch it to my blue 85 as i want to put the 6m with webers in the 86, but that engine is a long way off from being done.

ill prolly be doing the 1uz swap into a mk2 soon. anyone got pics of their custom headers? or modified stock manifolds? or know of some ebay headers that will fit? dont have any money to be throwing at the swap since i need to buy a new dd as well. just figure ill take the whole setup withauto from my 93 ls400 and drop it in on the mounts i got from peewee years ago.
and does anyone have pics of these headers installed on a 1uz?

and has anyone tried these in the mk2 itself? which runner hits the steering if it does hit the steering? or does anyone havd the distance between the steering shaft and head flange? that way i can ask how far the pipes stick out from the head and can tell if they will hit by that.

they look the same as my 90 celsior. what do you think? think they will fit? what year was the 400? vaugley think you said 94 , is that correct?
JDM vs USDM, the glass will be the wrong magnification and the angle of the mirror will be way off. You'd be much better off finding another celisor mirror if you can. They get parted out in Canada every now and then and show up in the odd wrecker.

and they are adjustable so it would still work. as long as it fits.
Probably won't adjust enough. I have JDM mirrors on my USDM mk2 and the LS one at its fullest adjustment is just barely usable but the other side (which is the one opposite the drivers side) isn't. Being a foldable mirror I make it work for now by not fully folding that one out, but I'm going to fix them properly at some point.

factory log/block hugger tundra manifolds fit better than ls400 or sc400 ones.
the back runner on the latter two hit the steering shaft on my ra64.
the flange on the tundra will have to be cut off as it interferes with the shaft.
the shorty pacesetters for a tundra sure as hell wont fit a6 or even ls/sc lexuses.
i highly doubt without major mods those longtubes would work.
the pass side sc/ls manifolds do fit a6, but i dont like that the last runner has to turn 180 to get into the main pipe.
i just bought a sbc longtube kit with stacks of extra bends 1 5/8" for mine. not looking forward to anything but the sound and performance and i pray i never have to pull the 1uz again after install

do you have pics of the clearance on yours? ive thought of buying 1uz flanges and a sbc header kit from speedway motors and just making some, but if i can find some prefabbed ones, thatd be better. too bad someone hasnt made a set and had china copies made yet.
