Would love to get some that look like these, with correct size and offset for about 1g or less. By the way, the wheels are photo-chopped.
Anyone know where I can get/find them?

Question...
ARE these the same wheels from Nick's (FWDSux) Supra that you used for your photoshop example?? In other words, did you use the wheels from one of his pictures???
If you did get them from Nick's photo, then I can tell you what they are.
If not from Nick's car, then I have no idea what these could be.
Let us know!!!!

Yup those are his wheels alright, I saw it on his signature...drolled a bit, then I messaged him a few days ago. I even sent him this picture before I posted it on here. He told me where he got them from and how much they were, but damn it's too much and even worst, I have to order them from Australia...unless the shipping is free, I think I might buy it (but unlikely).
Looking for a used set, or something similar in the US. Anyone know where I can get them???? Damn those rims are sweeeeeeeet....I love rims with lip.....

Welp, now that Nick has told you that they are Simmons FR17's, there is not much more to add.
Besides Nick (FWDSux) & Jeff Sawyer (jefe_not), I can't think of anyone else up here in the US that has this set of wheels in this offset. The Simmon's are handmade in AUS & this is pretty much the only place where you can get them from. Don't believe there is a US distributor for Simmons, you order directly from them. I know that James R was helping Mike Malloy when Mike was ordering his Simmons OM's, but I'm not sure if James ordered them, or if Mike ordered them directly from Simmons.
Used set??? In this offset & bolt pattern in FR17's????? See the beginning of the last paragraph.
To my knowledge, I can't think of anyone else right now who is making something that even resembles the FR17's in this offset.... Maybe HRE, but those are not cheap either.....
Have you looked at what Compomotive has to offer???

CJSREDPRA thanks for the info....honestly, the Simmons would be a dream to have...but I'm not that picky about wheel, just as long as they have the correct off-set and wide enough (17X8, 17X9 or 16's). So if you know of any websites for me to check out, that can make the right offset and is affordable like (1.5g's or lower without tires) post them up.
I see you got some nice looking wheels too. Can you display a larger pic of your wheels on your car??

Man it seems like everyone ordered their nice looking rims through you, guess we should call you the the "wise wheel guy" for now on (hahahaaa) just kidding..
Supra GTR your wheels look very very impressive, post up pic too, and how much were they? Where did you get them from?
And I am seriously thinking about the ROH now....that's a great deal, but I got one last question before making the decision...and the question is will 17's be a problem if my car is lowered...currently my set up is, St springs with 1 loop cut both front and rear??
The current wheels that I have are 15's with 195, 50, 15 tires.
Can anyone tell me?
Below is the actual pix of how the 15's look.

I don't have any personal large pictures at the moment of my wheels. (Of course NOW that I've just recently purchased a digital camera, I'm running out of excuses..) Instead, I can do the next best thing.
The wheels that are in my avatar, are the Compomotive CXN's. 16x8", 0mm offset, & correct 4 bolt patter & hubcentric centers. The wheel components are made in England & are imported here for assembly. There is currently only ONE place where you can get Compomotive's here in the US...
http://www.usacomp.com/
The name of the place is Motorsports Specialities & they are located in Quarryville, Pennsylvania (these are the guys that import & assemble them). Go to the link above, click on modular wheels, the CXN's are the very first ones on the upper left. I have the black mesh.
When I purchased my wheels in Sept of 2001, they cost $1,500 + shipping at the time. Prices may vary now, depending on the current US dollar/UK Pound exchange rates.
Several others have this particular wheel besides myself. This includes Phil Dupler, Jim King & Bob Sully (on both of his MKII's). Chris Clement (Flyin Hawaiian) has Compomotive's on his MKII, but I can't remember the model, they are not the CXN's
James R (SupraGTR) has a set of now "impossible to get" Racing Hart C2's. The C2's have been discontinued & are no longer available. Because of our "oddball" offset, he had to custom order his from Japan & he had to wait 6 months. Unlike the "normal" C2's that you can buy off the shelf here in the US, but have these +40mm offsets.

Whoa.... That's tiny! Must be like driving on ice all the time! I know on the front of my car I've got coilovers and it's dropped pretty low... The only prob I have is slight rub during hard cornering with sharp elevation changes.

The rear, no probs but I'm at stock height for now.... I didn't do much hard driving when the rear was low, but I didn't get any rubbing either.

Just thought of a couple other options.
Several peeps last year did a GP on Braids last year. These are made in Spain. These are the Braid's that are on George T (karaki)'s Black 84.
http://ca.photos.yahoo.com/bc/supraless/lst?.dir=/Braid+Rims&.src=ph&.order=&.view=t&.done=http%3a//photos.yahoo.com/
Pricing is going to be different now, due to the GP prices not being the same, due to fluctuating exchange rates.
Another GP that was done last year, was for some Forgeline LS's. This is what they look like on Josh Rapier's (jr85mk2) MKII.
http://www.celicasupra.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=5528&highlight=forgeline+ls
Possibly these will give you some other ideas (am hoping that I'm still in the ballpark, based on your style preferences).

Correct, they're not Dayton's, they're Lexor's wire wheels. The rims weren't purchased just yesterday, it's been with the car for years, when low riders were cool and the racing image was in its infancy stage. Really you have to see it in person; the picture doesn't do justice, the wheels looks good with the car because of the lip and the even-ness with the flare. The wheels were custom made for the car. It was either stock or the wire wheels......so that's the story. It’s a different taste, some people like it some people don’t…just like the stock wheel ( my opinion is F*****n oooogly). And I'm not really on a mad hunt, just looking for a good deal :D .
If I find the right wheels at the right price, great, if not, who cares , these wheels look good enough for me (my opinion).

Hey Pat,
I checked out the links you provided below but it sent me to your web page only. Wow I love what you did to your car, seem like you spent a lot of time on your kit, I like it. :D
The wheels you got are sweet too. What size? What are the offsets? How much did you pay for them. And where did you get them?
CJSREDPRA

Iforge is located here in the US. I believe we did a GP on these back in early 2002 when we were still on the Yahoo list. The GP went reasonably well..... Except when it came to Pat's wheels.... Didn't it take well over a year to get your mess straghtened out???? Pat has a good story to tell regarding this.. Here's 1 highlight..... On the first go around, wheels that had a 5 bolt lug pattern got sent to the UK... Instead of 4 bolts.... Will let Pat fill in the blanks if he feels like it.
It’s a different taste, some people like it some people don’t…just like the stock wheel ( my opinion is F*****n oooogly)).
Way back, when the MkII was released, I thought "nice car, needs nicer wheels" I even inquired about wheels before I purchased my car.
I had decided on Simmons mesh style , I forget the model number.
Then, in 1988 when I purchased my car, I was lucky enough to get a car with Simmons B45 wheels already on it

Yes it was a nightmare deal but if they had paid attention to my first email with the sizes I would have got my wheels in about 8 months, which would have been not to bad concidering 6 weeks of that was shipping time.
I think all in all it cost me around $2000 dollar mark but that was with sending back wheels and paying vat charges over here and import taxes.
The wheels were listed at that time at around $1200 dollars.
I think they have stopped the 2 piece wheel now and are making three piece only which has put the price up but you can replace the outer lip if you damage them.
The sizes I had were 8"/17" all round with 10+ offset on the front and 0 on the rear.
I don't know why you could not get to my yahoo pages as I checked and it worked fine.
Try again as there a lot more pictures there than on the web site.
Check out www.iforged.com for there web site.
