This is not a GP really, just an opportunity to find some buyers interested in a top level piece. Looks like it may take a little effort to fit it in a mk2, but its possible.

Lipp also has a alt drop down bracket that allows you to keep AC. Very slick.

This is a market exclusive product with OEM level quality, fit and finish. It has been on the table for a while, but they haven't built it yet due to lack of demand. Soooooo, who other than myself and Mike Rapp are interested?

Malloy, You think the guys up at Suprasport can give you the measurements from the flange to the very outside of the manifold? Then someone can measure the distance from 7m head preferably already installed in a MK2 to shock tower on the MK2. That might help a little to give a calculated fitment.
I know Suprasport is under new ownership last i heard. The previous owners were kinda douchy IMO, but the new owners seemed cool when I talked to them. I hope this goes well for everyone. Having a FFIM on the 7mgte makes it sooooo much easier to work on.
Good luck 7m warriors!

Width won't be a problem, we have way more width in our engine bay then mk3s (no double wishbones). Height with LJM bars and clearance with the mk2 brake booster is what you should be worrying about.

Ok, that makes sense. The LJM strut bar could be spaced up slightly couldnt it to clear or would it hit the hood? If not, it would be worth more to me to lose the LJM bar and gain the FFIM,just my 2 cents there. As far as brake booster, I would think there would be plenty of room to clear it, I know my Ron R FFIM cleared it by a country mile on my 7m back in the day and so does my 2JZ FFIM clears it plenty too.

Man, this thing is awesome!! You can even choose to have EGR ports drilled!! Oh how I wish I had money and a 7M, haha!

Anyone working on throttle linkage for this?

All you would need is a bracket to hold the throttle cable in the right place, and you may need to convert throttle cables to get the same style of end to match whatever style the TB you run has.

Yeah the BB should be ok, but I know the ITB guys run into it. Converting to the mk3 booster should fix the problem either way as its doesn't stick out as far.
I ran into LJM bar contact issues with my 1uz tb conversion too. I ended up making an adapter that repositioned the knuckle forward and down actually. Unfortuantly there isn't alot of room to move the cross bar up before it starts interfearring with the hood. However it comes with a washer stack so you adjust the height that the knuckle sits at to a limited degree. Might be enough to clear this thing.

I have seen how many people decide to upgrade throttle bodies when going for big power. How much power can you reliably make on a stock 7MGTE throttle body? That FFIM looks sexy.

Not sure, looks like they are hesitant to make it =(

They are right to hesitate, as that's going to produce a TON of "oh yea yea yea, wait, no don't have the money..."
It does cost more than an entire 1jz-gte...

I ran on of his FFIM's when i was 7m and theyre top notch. Iirc, he doesnt mass produce these and builds these.on the side at the shop he works at.
I think BillyM hit the nail on the head though with the whole cost vs 1JZ comment.

For the $$, I'd rather buy a 2JZ FFIM, added bonus that a low mileage JDM engine comes attached with it...

Malloy,
I can get you in touch with Ron if you'd like...I know him personally. He's a nice guy, and he's a great fabricator. Top notch work!

Malloy, I've been tossing around the idea of going back to stock.
...in-case Ron isn't producing when you're ready to buy.
On-topic, I'd love to see these made. There are folks out there with completely wicked factory-looking 7m's that would be able to enjoy the FFIM benefits without losing that "did that maybe come from the factory like that?" appeal....
