Need 1 p-type wheel

Hello all,
I am curious if in any of the recent trips to junkyards around the country, has anybody found a MINT spare wheel? Or if one of you parts collectors :D has an extra MINT wheel I can pry from your fingertips. If so I am interested in buying one. I have 3 never been used p-type rims and I would like to get a 4th so I can put them on my garage queen. If so I can be reached at my direct email at wmr71@hotmail.com

You know its funny I was asking Chris Eng for advice about this very subject...there's a 16 year old who lives around here with a white P-type, with a head gasket that's going out...When we started comparing cars and he showed me his spare...I saw the holy grail-a mint spare tire sitting before me. He had no idea what the big deal was when I immediately started to drool. If he wasn't asking 3k for his car I would get the car and part it up...other than the headgasket, the hatch is dented where he was rear ended. He does'nt want to get rid of the spare and he thinks that will get another 500 buck extra because its origional :whutthef:

I have one of those mint spares without a tyre on my garage.

I also have the original P-Type wheels with the original Dunlops from my '85. About 60K kms (40K miles) on them.

You now have your answer. Your best bet right now, is to find a 84 - 86 P-Type in the junkyards that has a full size spare tire that was never used. This is the only way you're going to find a minty mint wheel. The 82 - 83's have the steel rim/standard size tire, so no go there.

And unfortunately, most of us that have come across unused spare tires/wheels are hoarding them, because they are so hard to come by. Good Luck

(fyi, I currently have 2 minty mint wheels w/ never been used Dunlop SP Sport D3's).

I got two minty stock Ptype mk2 wheels :twisted: on is sitting in the trunk of the 84 and the other one is on 85 till I get it up and running :roll: if I ever do

Thanks for all the info, but this post was not to have every one chime in with a roll call of who has one sitting in their garage or up their a#%#% :D I NEED 1. If someone is interested in letting one go, please let me know. Hell if someone is going to a junkyard soon then look for a spare that is in mint shape if possible. BTW, I need a wheel that has never been used as the other 3 I have are brand spanking new!

I have a whole set if any one wants to buy them from me. The lips are perfect no scratches or dents, but they do need to be polished.
